The property is a great quiet retreat to disconnect from the everyday hustle and bustle! We visited in late March, did a little fishing, enjoyed nature and the peace and quiet. Went hiking nearby at the Talladega National Forrest where we found incredible views and a view waterfalls. In the evenings we were able to enjoy some local eatery's both Bobbers and Boondocks were very enjoyable meals.
As for property specific - If visiting in the spring, you should know that the water levels are likely low, which will make fishing and swimming difficult. Yes, there are a lot of steps, we didn't opt for the trolley, but if we were staying longer than the extended weekend, it would have been a must. A few reviews mention the furniture being dated, keeping in mind this is a summer getaway for the owners and should be thought of as such, the furniture is plenty acceptable. The owners were great at communicating the expectations and information needed to make this stay exactly what we were seeking.
