Y Golwg - One Bedroom House, Sleeps 2
Offering an idyllic, scenic retreat to outdoor-loving couples, this countryside hideaway sits in the stunning Brecon Beacons National Park, where endless opportunities for adventure await. Set off the beaten track, this is a haven for lovers of nature, long walks, local history, and pretty villages. Explore the iconic mountain tracks of the National Trust's Sugar Loaf and Usk Valley (8 miles). As one of the highest peaks in the Black Mountains, Sugar Loaf provides breath-taking adventurers with some of the finest views in Wales. Keen golfers can test the greens at Woodlake Park Golf Club and Monmouthshire Golf Club, both within 9 miles. For a bite to eat, hop in the car and visit the charming town of Abergavenny (7 miles), with its independent eateries, gastro pubs and annual food festival. The town is also a popular gateway for several scenic routes, whether you're walking, cycling, or horse riding. On arrival at this gorgeous property, take a moment to appreciate the panoramic views of the surrounding countryside, including the mountainous sights of Skirrid and Sugar Loaf.
Step inside and be greeted by the retreat’s social heart, the open-plan lounge/diner, which offers the perfect spot to unwind after days of Welsh adventure. Sink into the comfortable lounge sofas to soak in the memorable views or relax in front of the wall-mounted Smart TV. When stomachs start to rumble, walk through to the well-appointed kitchen which offers all the space and amenities needed to whip up romantic feasts for two. Enjoy the chef’s work back in the lounge/diner, or al fresco-style out in the garden. When it's time to rest, walk up the open staircase to the spacious king-size bedroom. This sumptuous room boasts large, scenic windows and a Smart TV for lazy mornings in bed. Serving the bedroom is a well-appointed, contemporary bathroom with a walk-in rainfall shower and a separate, free-standing bath.
Step outside and onto the terrace, which is a gorgeous spot from which to enjoy your morning brew. Watch the stars illuminate the sky whilst you bubble away in your very own wood-fired hot tub, or simply dine alfresco at the table and chairs – a fantastic spot to enjoy an evening tipple with your loved one.
