The hotel was really nice. Customer service was excellent. Bhupemder, who is part of housekeeping team was amazing and considerate and went over and beyond for us. The head chef at the Asian restaurant was amazing too, the staff at the restaurant knew it was our honeymoon and made our dinner so special. If you are looking for a chilled hotel to stay at - Highly recommend Rixos. There isn’t much around outside of the Marina Mall but I would stay there again and just explore and do trips but it doesn’t take away from the hotel stay which was absolutely lovely.

I requested gluten and dairy free options and was asked to remind the staff each time I went for breakfast and lunch. I found this to become irritating very quickly especially as I found that I was waiting around to receive dairy free butter, gluten free bread and the one dessert that I could have was sorbet which was only served to me on the first day and after that I asked for it and it was never served. After waiting around I decided to leave without it. I felt like my dietary requirements were not considered to the best standards. Having to remind staff constantly and at times mentioning it repeatedly and then waiting around whilst my friends had eaten was not the best experience. The dessert being extremely limited even though I requested in advance was a huge disappointment.

Unfriendly staff at the Check-In, not even looked into our facts or gave us any information about the Hotel and activities and also they promised to send a message when our room is ready, which never happened. Coffee machine was broken and it took them 1.5 days to send someone to fix it. On the second day there was suddenly an additional bed in the room, which we didn’t order. In front of our room was a construction area - couldn‘t sleep in the morning and at night! No information that they changed adults only pool to all ages a few months ago, it was an adults only pool when we booked our stay. Extremely slippery at the pool, a lot of people/children fell on their head. We got asked 10 times a day if we want Spa. Minibar was locked after we entered the room, nobody knows why. No asking if everything was ok at Check-Out.

Staff weren’t as attentive as other hotels we’ve stayed in, in the UAE. Food was average at best. Room had some defects you would expect in a hotel of 20 years old, not 2 years old. Good pools and beach. Beautiful foyer.
