My family of 4 adults, 2 seniors, and a dog stayed here on our trip to Yosemite. The house was big and provided ample bed options for us, though the bunk bed and pull out couch were both incredibly uncomfortable. The dining table was too small for us all to share a meal, odd considering the house had accommodations for 7 or more. There was a surprising lack of tables in general, no coffee table by the couches, picnic/patio table in the yard, or bedside tables by any of the beds. Not a deal breaker, but inconvenient. The yard is very large and does offer beautiful views as described. The gazebo has handicap ramps which was a nice touch.
My father has mobility problems and requires a wheelchair or a walker. This was one of few listings with accessibility features. The main living room was large and sparsely furnished, allowing plenty of room to maneuver a wheel chair. There is one accessible bathroom with a widened door, grab bars, and a roll in/ walk in shower. It was nice. Unfortunately my dad couldn’t use the shower because there wasn’t a bench or anywhere to sit while he bathed. So make sure you bring your own if you need such a thing! It is also important to note that while the bathroom was wheelchair friendly the bedrooms weren’t. They didn’t have widened doors, had thick carpets and throw rugs, and didn’t have much room to use a walker. This house has great potential for an accessible get away, but it isn’t quite there yet.
