The resort was very clean and the staff worked really hard to make our stay a good one. Rooms are a bit dated and need some repairs, but it was not an issue for us. Loved our vacation

Property did not honor booking credit. Limited food options after 10:30. Room service doesn’t pick up phone ( 3 days in row) after 11pm despite advertising 24/7, no customization on room service menu. Callous supervisor (Luis). No affect of complaint. Premium wine which was basically everything at restaurant other than house wine. All restaurants were solidly booked and had no choice on which one you wanted to go to

Beautiful grounds. Very nice room, newly renovated. Excellent buffet. Very disappointed that almost no restaurant reservations are available unless you book far in advance of arrival. No foid/snack options near pool or beach. Service level was mixed with most interactions positive but some taking much too long (e.g., 2 hours to send blankets to the room) and less than pleasant. Service level would be fine for a 3 star but not up to 5 star standard as advertised.

We enjoyed the full facility of the property staying in Akumal and definitely enjoyed. The pools however are nicer at Tulum and more active. More beach in Akumal and have Bar 66 right on the beach. Biggest thing to know is that you must sign in and check in the 1st day you can and reserve reservations for ala carte dinners. We had 9-930 dinners a couple nights because we held off booking for 2 days hoping another restaurant would open. We saw many people arrive not having reservations therefore they were left to the buffet every day. There was next to no chance of changing/moving a reservation while there unless maybe a table of 2 and then very lucky. The Restaurants some were a 10 and some were a 5. Depending on what you ordered.

Great 5 night stay!

Had a nice family trip. Wish they had ice in buildings but get that it’s bagged and needs to be delivered. But why have ice buckets in each room if you deliver in an ice bucket? Early check-in is key. We did not and found very little availability for dinner, unless you don’t mind eating at 9:30pm. Similar volume with the excursions. Don’t forget to bring a Yeti, straws, and sweet-and-low if you prefer it. Going back in 5 weeks so really like the resort.

Great Christmas vacation

The resort is very well maintained and managed. The rooms were nice and modern, clean and comfortable. We enjoyed everything, from the food and drinks to the beach and the entertainment. The staff is friendly and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay over all. The staff were fantastic in every department. Everything was very clean. Any requests for additional service were readily met. Our only real criticism is the food. Many buffet items were not properly labelled or labelled at all. They did seem to be in the process of upgrading the label system as we were leaving though. In addition, we found that the food while fresh was often bland. And the desserts looked very pretty but also lacked any real flavour.
