If you're thinking about coming to Aspen in the winter, just know that if your flight gets cancelled due to weather (or in our case, THREE flights got canceled), they will not refund any of your money. The answer I received was that" many people don't end up making it to Aspen and that is a part of the journey"
I would love these owners or managers to be in that position.... It's pretty awful when you think about all the money you are losing (and having to find lodging in another city for 5 people).
We finally got to Aspen days later, however I am not sure how the company knew we were here since they never contacted us to find out if we made it in OK.. Nonetheless, the unit had many issues.
First, the dishes and silverware were not clean. Even my son said that he tried to make food and literally couldn't find any dish that wasn't dirty. And many of the silverware had gobs of yellow muck on them.
Second, the master bath is a dungeon. The lights are dim and two of the lights didn't work.
Third- the master bedroom is very bright at night due to the area of lighting and the windows in the master door. Bring an eye mask otherwise you will get woken up anytime anyone walks outside or if you need pitch black accommodations to sleep.
Fourth - as another reviewer mentioned..... The bedrooms are downstairs. So literally if there is anyone walking upstairs and you are a light sleeper, you will wake up. The light sleepers can't sleep and the late night people have to hunker down. You can hear someone using the restroom in the bathroom in the hallway, which also has a loud creaky door.
Fifth - there is someone who lives in the unit downstairs. They have a small dog. This dog barked literally nonstop for an hour until we left at 9 am. So if you are a late sleeper, good luck. We also wouldn't have booked knowing someone was below us. We have two kids and it's stressful worrying about disturbing somebody.
Sixth -the second full bathroom downstairs is in need of a renovation.
Seventh - the washer/dryer is shared with another unit (which may not be an issue for some).
Eighth-most of the furniture is old and dated and the place needs a deep clean.
Ninth-we are told to remove all bedding off the beds.
I will point out some good: they have coffee filters, shampoo and conditioner, and basic items to cook.
I asked again for some grace, ie, to give us a night refund and they removed the cleaning fee.
