This home is only 1.4 miles from the main drag going through Dripping Springs. Some of the best distilleries, winery's, and even the Hill Country Olive Company are less than 5 minutes away. Deep Eddy, which is all the way on the other side of town is 10 minutes away, so if you plan is to be in Dripping Springs, this location is awesome. That being said, you are far enough away from town that it is very quiet, so don't be worried that you will be hearing vehicles all day long, you won't.
My husband and I tend to walk around indoors with socks on a lot, and in past rentals, it was often obvious that people didn't clean their floors well - and this is a pet peeve of ours. In this case, the floors were spotless. After walking around in white socks for several hours, they were just as clean as when we arrived. I can't say that is the case for most VRBO's, but it was here. Great job on the homeowner's part.
In full transparency, when you are driving the last 1 mile to the house or so, the neighborhood isn't the greatest, so if you have family with you that aren't accustomed to being in rural neighborhoods, you may want to prepare them for that. There is nothing "sketchy" or "dangerous" in any way, it just "country".
The rental is a manufactured home at the back of the customer's property. Plenty of places to park your cars if you have a large group. There was a very big wind storm that came through the area the week prior to our arrival, and it was obvious that the owners had already started working through the clean-up process. We were there during winter, and were there to attend a wedding, so we didn't spend much time outdoors.
