I don’t think they even mop the floors my son crawled for 2 minutes and his knees were BLACK. I spilled some water and tried to dry it up with a towel, BLACK. It’s lowkey sketchy, the doors all look like someone has tried to brake in and so do the windows. Definitely needs some maintenance.

Live roaches and dead roaches in the room and the breakfast areas. Water leaks in the bathroom. The floor was soaked and there were visible signs of water damage. When I asked for another room no rooms were available. I stayed in a flooded bathroom room all week

It was an alright place to stay. The room was clean but definitely not the best, we had to kill at least 2 water bugs or cockroaches a night. The area was okay, I liked having ihop in walking distance. I don't mind helping the homeless but when I'm walking to my room from the breakfast provided by the hotel, I didn't appreciate being stopped and having a conversation start with "that good looks pretty good...would you mind getting me some?" When I'm walking with my 1yr old in my arms. Kinda makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. Other than that, the food was good, I liked that they had banana waffles. The hard boiled eggs were so hard to peel though.The staff was nice. The key cards would sometimes just not work and I'd have to walk to the lobby to get it reprogrammed. They do have a laundry room. Wasn't too bad. Other than the bugs, it was an alright stay.

La Quinta Bakersfield South was better than I expected. The room was quite adaquate, beds comfortable, good ac. The breakfast was nice, especially the waffles. It is a little run down especially the pool area where the lounges were in awful condition, but I would consider staying there again. One thing I did not like was when I made the reservation I saw it was pet friendly and it was, but nowhere did it say anywhere in the listings that there was a $50 charge for the pet. I felt that should have been told up front. Anita Lee.

You can stay at a much better hotel for the money. If you like panhandlers and feeling unsafe it’s perfect tho. Oh and I found a bed bug, took a video of it, left the room asked for a refund. They told me to call Expedia for refund. When Expedia requested a refund they told Expedia I should have called them when I left the hotel at 1am not the following day. So Expedia has to contact the manager to get my refund and I probably will have to dispute the charge.
