Not even sure where to start! It was beyond what words can describe.
From the beginning, Dave and Toni were great with communication and sharing helpful information. Super easy booking / check-in process and clear directions/access information.
And David, their property manager and local tico, is amazing! He helped us every step of the way with booking activities/reservations and pointing out the more local attractions and beaches. He was engaged, accommodating and knowledgeable, and just helped to make our trip that much more memorable! Thank you so much David!
And then you have the house/property-WOW! It was everything and MORE than we could have imagined! The pictures give a great perspective of what to expect, but when you pull up and walk out - just breath taking! It had everything we needed, from cooking to swimming to the beach essentials. And clean!
We saw so much wildlife from the porch! Toucans, monkeys, macaws, agouti, peccary (small pig), numerous birds (including humming birds). Even iguana on the road to the house, which is so beautiful and amazing. Likely the best non pavement road in Costa Rica! We were there in the dry season (mid Feb.) so 4x4 wasn't used, but definitely a must have in general (not only for the house - but if you plan to explore)
And the sounds, from the birds to the waves crashing - we can still hear them - amazing!
The location was perfect, easy access to the road and very close to town. Beautiful and quick 30 minute trip down to Uvita for groceries, and very close to great beaches. Also very centrally located to easily experience Manuel Antonio and Marino Ballena (Whale Tail) national parks. Both were amazing (insider tip, keep driving past the parking vendors to get closer to the park entrances).
David helped us coordinate amazing activities, from ATV riding (to a waterfall), horseback riding (to another waterfall), and hiking (to yet another waterfall!) and pointed us to the most amazing local beaches!
And the Food! The local fruit was delicious. The Ceviche is to die for. And we absolutely loved the simple local Casado and Arroz con Pollo dishes at the less American locations (which you have your pick of). We highly recommend the personal chef, it was a great experience with unbelievable food!
What else can be written?! The house, the property, the people, the scenery, the activities, the beaches, the food, the wildlife - I am sure we are missing something.
But it was just amazing!! Pura Vida!!
