We enjoyed our first visit to Maine and Acadia and this place worked great for our family. JF was the best host ever and sat down with me to review what we were interested in doing and he gave insider advice about where to park and how to avoid the crowds during the busy 4th of July week. We liked this quiet side of the island - the Acadia Loop Road and Bar Harbor are very busy during summer so go very early in the morning or take the free island bus from the Hulls Cove visitor center. One bedroom had a king bed and twin bed, the other bedroom had a queen bed and a twin loft bed with a ladder. Amenities included fridge with freezer, coffee pot and coffee, microwave, toaster, electric hot water kettle, dish tub, dish soap, dish towels, cups, plates, silverware, coffee mugs, bowls, plenty of towels and wash cloths, grill and grilling utensils, 4 kayaks with life vests, and access to a nice swimming area nearby. We cooked over the campfire one night (firewood was provided) and brought our electric griddle to make breakfast and hot sandwiches outside on the picnic table. As long as you are ok with no stove, washing machine, or dishwasher, this place is perfect!
