What did I like?
Was able to check in a bit earlier than expected.
What I didn't like?
After a drive in poor road conditions following a snowstorm, we arrived at the hotel with fast food for my kids—only to realize we had forgotten the ketchup. Hoping to salvage the situation, I asked the night receptionist if I could borrow some ketchup, either in packets or from the breakfast service supplies. I wasn’t asking for room service, just a small favor to make things easier after a long day. Unfortunately, my request was immediately denied, which left a sour impression.
As someone who has worked in hotel front desk operations, I’ve always believed in going the extra mile for guests, especially in moments like this. It’s small gestures of hospitality that make a big difference, and I was disappointed not to experience that here.
