I didnt want to leave
We had a very comfortable stay and It was a short drive to kyger creek power plant. The property was well kept, the inside was very clean, updated and had everything you could need. My only complaint was the water pressure in the shower but thats nothing.

We had a lovely stay. Our only criticism is the bed description and mattress. There are not two twins. It is a treadle bed. The mattresses on this bed were very thin and flat. The driveway was easily accessible with our Ford Escape.

Our Get away.
Great Cabin and surrounding area. Steep Drive only challenge and we were made aware of that. Quiet. Trail Heads looked great though we didn't do any hiking.

Stay at Bidwell
I, overall, had a great time at this cabin, BUT, there were some things left out of the booking process that woulda made me look for a cabin elsewhere, especially not being told until the day before about the driveway being on an almost 60 degree inclined to where our car couldn’t make it to the top! We had to park at the bottom and walk all the way up! Woulda been nice to know about how steep the hill was before I booked! Another thing is that they include washer/dryer and utensils, pots, pans, and all kinds of cookware! I’m glad they did, but woulda been told in the listing so I didn’t go out beforehand and buy all kinds of cookware 😂 but we can return them so it’s no worries! Was overall a great place, better than the pictures tell!

Off the beaten path!
We loved our stay here at this cabin in the woods. We enjoyed driving our jeep around the property and listening to the sounds of nature. So peaceful but with all the amenities you’d need in a home!

Last minute family vacation
Overall it was a great experience my only input would be to better disclose the driveway leading up the hill. My family and I got stuck a few times with a 4×4 leading us to leave the vehicle in the middle of hill or bottom

Nice and cozy
The stay was great. Clean place. Internet and Streaming service was spotrt at best. Definitely need a 4 wheel drive vehicle to get up the hill. Other than that, perfect getaway.

Amazing!!
The property is beautiful. The cabin has everything you could ever need for a family vacation. I was not expecting it to be fully stocked. We had pots, pans, dishes, bedding, pillows and even tv for the littles, while we cooked. The trails are big and very well maintained, it made it very easy to walk with the family. The beds are so comfortable and the full kitchen with a dishwasher made our stay great. Easy to keep everything clean and to cook making more time for relaxing and the family. Honestly, it was one of our top vacations. If I could give more than 5 stars I would. Thank you for opening your beautiful property up and making our vacation wonderful. We will definitely be going back.

Great in the daytime, no sleep at night!
Date of stay July 5-10, 2021 What we really enjoyed about this property: - great location and close to our family - wonderful surroundings and trails - modern, functional space in the living, kitchen and bath areas - spacious back deck - wildlife sightings in the front yard nearly every day - nicely stocked kitchen area and full size stove, microwave - Washer and dryer!! - Lots of extra chairs and seating - solid and well built home - tankless water heaters (fantastic) - lots of blackberry bushes (lots of poison ivy too, just be careful) these could be cultivated a bit more and really be made into a fun family activity for your guests What would keep us from rebooking this cabin: Dealbreakers, if these aren't addressed, we would not rebook - Motion lights that come on at night, shine into every crack and crevice of this home and can be seen from the international space station. Aside from the egregious light pollution and disruption to the native wildlife, you can't sleep with these shining in your window with only a thin, white blind between you and the relentless glare (seriously, either turn them off or provide blackout curtains) - No landline and the wireless isn't strong enough to support cellular calling. In this location not only is this dangerous, but it's super inconvenient when you are visiting family and need to plan events. You should give these items attention to make your guests more comfortable and prevent allergies, bites, etc - The entire cabin reeks of mothballs or a similar scent. It is incredibly overpowering and 4 days after returning home our luggage (and even the clean clothes that were in them) still have this smell. - Neat, but not clean. On our first night there, my 17 yo son was bitten by a spider. I chalked it up to the area but when I took a deeper look the next day, it looked as if no one had moved the furniture to clean or sweep in years. The stove was coated in grease and the floors in the kitchen were dirty. Dishwasher was full and needed unloading. I spent about 3.5 hours of my vacation sweeping edges, cracks and crevices and have pictures of the piles of dust and bugs that I found. Not great. - Sheets are low quality/scratchy and mattresses are quite flat. Recommend bringing sheets and pillows if you have room.
