Serenity Pines was the perfect cabin/home for our family Thanksgiving. The cabin is as described. The kitchen is an open concept to the living room so we (6 adults) were together except for bedtime. The host has it well stocked with everything needed, no need to travel with coffee, salt/pepper, or hot chocolate. There are ample pots/pans and baking sheets. The fridge is large with an ice maker. We had to have a tech come "defrost" the ice maker, but they promptly brought 2 bags of ice to get us through until it started making. The gas fireplace needs the pilot light lit each time you want to use it, but it is easy. The bedrooms are comfortable, are as described, and were spacious for our needs. The washer/dryer is convenient and we were able to travel home with clean clothes.
If anything needs a suggestion, it is to change the lighting in the bathrooms to a brighter bulb and have the cleaners check the floors a bit better before a check in.
The location was perfect for hiking and skiing. I would definitely stay at Serenity Pines again. Thank you to Destination Big Bear for prompt responses to questions. The message/text feature is handy and someone actually answers the phone. The check in/out procedures are convenient.
