The lake house is everything the listing says and shows it to be, minus use of the garage which the owner uses. We found it to be clean as a whistle, with comfortable, newer furnishings. The extra large windows on the lake side of the house are wonderful for staying warm inside while watching for the Aurora Borealis at night. We were thankful the host had told us about the coffee shop a short distance away; we used it as a reference point when trying to locate the house. During our stay, the snow was plowed so high if there was a street sign with the house numbers on it, we couldn’t find it, and the houses sit back off the road through trees, so it’s hard to see to match the right driveway with the rental house. Perhaps a colorful sign out near the road might be helpful for future renters to locate the house. That was our only problem, and it really wasn’t a problem after the first time we found which driveway was the correct one. So, if that’s the biggest negative, you should be telling yourself this is a great rental and booking it.
