Weekend Stay
I wish we would have known how far the house was off the beaten path. To reach anywhere near town in was a good 20-30 minute drive. Otherwise the house was beautiful and really spacious we had a great time during our short stay.

High End But Needs Work
The cabin is very nice. The heated floors in the master bathroom are a nice touch. The main lounge area is comfy and has great views. The outdoor fireplace and hot tub are great features! The multi level decks were nice and there was plenty of seating. Love the double oven and huge gas range. The theater room was a hit with everyone. We did experience issues with the following. -Master bedroom Sleep Number bed doesn't work. This rendered it quite uncomfortable. The bunk mattresses and the downstairs king were way too firm. -During our stay the master bedroom fireplace didn't work. -The door to the bathroom just off the kitchen does not latch or lock at all. We had to use the bear statue to keep it shut while in use. We named him Hodor! -Stove grease catcher tray was completely caked with grease and food -There was no Kuerig, which was listed in the house binder. -Several non stick skillets are peeling their coating and should be replaced. -Trash cabinet needs to be repaired. -Kitchen drawers and brochure rack need a serious purge. -Water and ice in fridge not connected. -Countertop ice machine could not keep up. Bring ice with you for your stay. -Grill was awful. Charcoal side was filled with used charcoal and the propane side was filthy. -Bottom floor mini fridge needs to be defrosted. It was full of frost and unusable. -One of the trash cans in the garage was completely full on arrival. We had no choice but to stack trash on the floor. -The pool table should be replaced. There are 2 legs busted, it has a serious lean, and the felt is in rough shape. -Due to technical issues during our stay, only the TV in the theater room worked. This became an issue as our week progressed. -The internet was basically non existent. Signal extenders are desperately needed throughout the house.

Very disappointed in the house. Was not told that the couch in the theater room was broken/unusable. Air hockey table was not the one in the pictures, it was useless! Pool table in the garage was a piece of junk. Wrong code given to get into gate, and no easy way to get a hold of anyone.

Beautiful home and location!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this magnificent home! Our 7 year old loved the pool table and air hockey! We all enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fireplace. Kitchen could use some TLC with the trash can drawer functionality, and could stand to have some basic amenities added - there were no pot holders- but that is our only minor complaint!! We would definitely stay here again!

Girls Getaway
Overall the property was lovely. We really enjoyed the hot tub and outdoor fireplace! The location was convenient but we made sure not to be out past dark because the neighborhood streets are not well lit and were covered in leaves at that time of year. The kitchen pots and pans left a little to be desired but we made do. We also had a dirty hand towel hung in one of the bathrooms so we washed all the towels to be safe. The biggest disappointment was the media room. It was unusable because the seating was all broken up and/or missing. It was a mess! Otherwise, we had a great time. House was spacious and beds and furniture were comfortable.

We spent New Years with extended family at this home and it was wonderful! Internet being spotty wasn’t an issue because we spent most of the time hanging out in the movie room or in the kitchen cooking. Would definitely book again!

Had super high expectations of this property, however the overall cleanliness and and broken amenities were disappointing. But positives first: clean bedding, bathrooms and kitchen for the most part. Loved the heated tile bathroom floors! Beautiful home and surroundings. Great place for large groups. Loved that a tree and a few Christmas decorations were up! The outdoor fireplace was special as well as the 2 huge decks. Negatives upon arrival: Broken furniture and broken projector in the theater room-so unusable. trash was not removed, dishwasher full of dishes, dirty hot tub with no extra chemicals, beer can and other trash on ground beneath balcony, filthy unusable gas grill. Definitely paid way to much for the cleaning few for this place for what we got upon arrival. But, Overall my family had a great Christmas at Grey Wolf Lodge despite a few disappointing negatives.

Amazing property!
We stayed here during spring break and had a blast. The property is beautiful and the cabin is amazing. The kids really enjoyed the media room, air hockey table and hot tub. The outdoor fireplace was a bonus too. We really enjoyed making smores in the evenings. It was also very clean and well stocked with everything you would need during your stay. I highly recommend Grey Wolf cabin!

Perfect Family Gathering
Quiet location and lovely home. Well equipped kitchen for our family of 12. Plenty of space to spread out and enjoy the whole home. Nice theatre room and game room. The outdoor fireplace was a hit, especially for smores. Lovely deck to sit and listen to the sound of the creek in the backyard. We took several walks around the neighborhood. Short drive into Asheville to tour the Biltmore House and grocery store close as well. Excellent communication with property managers for general questions we had. Beds were comfortable and the toy closet and movie selection were an added bonus. Thank you! The overall consensus was, we will stay here again in the future. Susan

Beautiful Property!!
My wife, daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed staying at Grey Wolf Lodge! It’s a beautiful home and property, and we will likely be back. The only complaint I have is that the cellular reception is bad and the wifi desperately needs to be upgraded, as the speed is very slow. When I did a speed test the download speed was only 13 mps and the upload speed was 5 mps. If you’re a professional and need access to decent internet speed, this could be a deal breaker. If we decide to not return to this property, this will be the reason. It’s such a simple fix for a vacation rental in this price range.

Great Mountain Getaway
This property was great! If offered a lot of things for the whole family to do, to include hiking, hot tub, games, movie theater. It is a very nice home with lots of first class amenities. It is the mountains, so curvy roads getting there, but well maintained. We would definetly stay in this cabin again!

Wonderful Get-away
This escape was exactly what we had dreamed of. The location was secluded and provided the atmosphere we wanted to unwind and relax. It was a great location to play games with family, read and take long walks. The home is well appointed. We loved the gourmet kitchen where we Spent hours cooking and talking. Overall, it was a great girls’ escape for my daughters and me.

Gorgeous property outside of Asheville
Gorgeous property outside of Asheville The great Wolf Lodge is the perfect place to get away from it all, yet have the artistic city of Asheville nearby. From the start, our communication with Jessica was prompt and delightful. The house is exactly as pictured, lots of Space to spread out, and nice large areas to all be together. It is midway up a mountain, just as described, so we try to bring as much with us as we could think of. There were lots of hikes nearby, and even hiking within the neighborhood lead to a gorgeous sunset view. We can’t wait to return.

House is very spacious and well-stocked. A couple of negatives were spotty cellphone reception and it was a 20 minute drive to stores/restaurants. (So if renting might want to plan ahead with groceries) Beds were super comfortable. House was spotless.

Great spot!
The cabin is in a picturesque part of Western NC. It’s spacious and has wonderful amenities, including an industrial kitchen stovetop. The porches make for a great way to hang out and physical distance at the same time. We even had a young black bear that hung out with us!

Great Getaway
Loved the movie theater (big with the kids), air hockey, large porches, and hot tub. Great place to go and stay entertained during a virus outbreak. Also enjoyed the waterfall hike just a short drive away.

Great Stay - Thank You
Overall we had a lovely stay and would be back again for sure, the overall amenities in the house were great and enough space for two families to enjoy. Location was beautiful We had a couple of issues with our stay but they were rectified very promptly with the property manager who was super helpful. Neither grill on the outside deck worked and the remote in the movie room was not synced with the TV (the first night we tried to follow the very complicated directions but it ended up being the remote anyway!). One phone call with the Property Manager and this was fixed - the two grills were considered only fit for the trash and a new super grill was purchased and a new remote was needed for the movie room - both which the property manager replaced and returned new to the property within hours - very impressed with the speedy service when something needed to be fixed so thank you!

Relaxing Getaway
This house had all the amenities for a marvelous and relaxing weekend...comfortable beds, plenty of indoor and outdoor areas of lounge around, fireplaces to warm up a cold weekend, movie room, hot tub, well appointed kitchen and grill. We never had to leave the cabin, and it was the perfect spot for our girls trip! Thanks for making Black Mountain a great getaway!
