My daughter and I enjoyed our private stay at Serenity. The chickens and ducks, which were let out of the nearby coop daily, were an added bonus. Our Jack Russell and Dachshund were too old to give them much grief, but they sure enjoyed the workouts when they tried. Our senior dogs found their inner "puppy" again!
This was our first attempt at vacationing with our dogs, and we were pleased with the accommodations, which seemed to be made for a family and their beloved dogs. The cabins and B&B have a nice "track" around them with with beautiful lush views and a quaint water feature (which the ducks make good use of). We made several laps around the property and had no problem getting our steps in daily. Fireflies are abundant when night falls. The solitude and peace makes all the worries of real life melt away.
We highly recommend Misty Mountain. The cabin is only a few miles from Vogel State Park, which is also a perfect place for pets. There are easy-to-hike trails with plenty of resting places. There's a waterfall trail that's well worth the hike.
The cabin is also a short distance from Helen, where we went tubing early in the morning to beat the crowds. We had lunch at Big Daddy's where the burgers are phenomenal. We also got to travel the scenic route on 348 and highly recommend that route for traveling to Helen. It has many stopping places for full doggy bladders. (And yours, too).
We recommend Misty Mountain. You can't go wrong by booking here!
