We had never stayed in Hendersonville before, and we cannot wait to go back! The cottage location is perfect - such an easy walk to restaurants, bookstore and other shops downtown, which is very clean, pretty, and family-friendly. We loved the artsy bears on every corner and the gorgeous flowers everywhere.
There is much to do nearby, too - we enjoyed hiking in Dupont State Forest, meandering through Bullington Gardens (botanical), watching a play at Flat Rock Playhouse, and experiencing the Thursday Rhythm & Blues concert series downtown.
But the cottage was the best part of our trip. It was as comfortable as being at home and is just such a cool, old home. Every room is amazingly roomy, including the front porch. It's possible we spent more time outside on the porch than inside. We only used one bedroom, and its bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom and kitchen were fully stocked with everything we needed and more. The owners truly thought of everything! The bottle of wine was a sweet touch. Parking couldn't be more convenient, and the neighborhood felt very hometown-ish. Bearcat Bungalow is truly one of the best properties we ever visited.
