House and pool were fabulous. Owner was very accommodating and Dora, the property manager, was such a huge help to make sure all the details were taken care of. Thanks Dora! Unfortunately, seaweed made the beach inaccessible. Piles multiple feet deep with nasty fumes that made us nauseous at times. Very sad. Hopefully it is just seasonal and they can get it under control soon.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Karina. The house is lovely and roomy, and we had everything we needed for a great week. Dora was so helpful before and during the trip- thank you! Highlights for us: the pool, going snorkeling on the reef with Joaquin and Kevin (can’t recommend more!!), having dinner cooked for us by Pablo for a couple of the nights, massages by the pool deck, dinner at Burger Underground in town, riding ATV’s and zip line adventure and playing games every night as a family! It’s a great spot for a relaxing vacation!

Beautiful week in Puerto Morales

Large group of extended family, we spent a week in this lovely home. We enjoyed most everything about the house. Everything was exceptionally clean well organized anything that had any problem was immediately addressed. The location is next to an adults only resort and a bit away from the beach activity. But cabs and Ubers are plentiful if you’re not up for a walk.

I was truly impressed with the care and commitment given to us on our stay. From the moment I began planning this trip Dora has been amazing and answering ALL of my questions (and I had plenty). She was so accommodating and wonderful. The home is beautiful and the view takes the cake! This trip will forever be cherished and will be hard to too. Puerto Morelos is a great little town with so much character and lovely people. Definitely will want to come back here for more adventures. Thanks for everything!

Absolutely fantastic!

We took a girls trip with 10 girls and had the best time! Dora was a great communicator and answered any and all questions we had. She was very responsive. We had a chef and bartender for most days. Tony (bartender) was absolutely amazing! He was so nice and made the best drinks! Charlie and Pablo were the chefs and made delicious food! House was spacious and about 20 minute walk to town on the beach. Cute little town area with good restaurants. We could not have asked for a better vacation!

Paradise!

Awesome family vacation!

WOW! This incredible villa right on the beach was a once in a lifetime experience to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday with our whole family. The views were simply amazing and the house was even more impressive than imagined. There were 7 adults and more than enough room for everyone. Dora was fantastic from the first communications, setting up our transportation, to the walk through and answering every question possible in a prompt fashion. Pablo created a wonderful meal for us and all the staff (housekeeping, gardener, pool maintenance, massage therapist) were all friendly and helpful. We can’t recommend this property enough. Kudos to Shauna for sharing her gorgeous home with us. We are already looking at booking next year.

Impressed!

The home was in fantastic shape and well maintained. Great privacy with a large pool and the beach just 10 feet from the back gate. First time in Puerto Morales and we found the town refreshingly simple and safe feeling. With the direct flight into the Cancun from Denver and a short 30 minute drive to the home, it was great not to feel like too much of our vacation was devoted to travel.

We cannot say enough good things about the Larena or the house manager Dora. Five couples went for a 40th birthday trip and had the trip of a lifetime. Dora is recommendations were flawless and the house was everything we expected and more. We cannot recommend this property, the owners, or the house manager enough. Puerto Morelos did not disappoint, it was welcoming, charming and family friendly. We felt so safe and taken care of by all the locals. Wonderful stay stay, five stars.

This house was perfect for my family vacation.

This is a very well kept property, and kitchen layout with plenty of storage and an extra fridge in gated carport made cooking all the things I wanted a real treat. Very comfortable, with AC throughout. All 5 bedrooms having their own bathroom blew the 9-15 yr old girls’ minds. Having laundry machine to do small loads as needed was very convenient. The pool was recently modified to extend the shallow section from a semicircle into a big rectangle and new steps and grab bars were added. I mention the change in pool shape because I was trying to initially find the house using a satellite image map that wasn’t matching up with aerial pictures taken before pool renovation. You’ll have to plan to go somewhere else to snorkel to see any coral or fish; we ventured out about 200 meters in front of house and saw nothing but sea grass. Dora was lovely and helpful, guided us to the house quickly (given my map confusion) and was always a text message away!

Fantastic week

We had 9 adults staying for a week and all of us had a wonderful time. The house with the pool was comfortable and beautiful. We could walk to the shops and restaurants in Puerto Morelos. Dora, the manager, took care of all of our needs from arranging transportation to various towns and attractions to having a yoga instructor come one day and a masseur another day. Dora also arranged for a chef, Pablo, to come and give a cooking class. Pablo made a fun evening having everyone joining in in making a delicious meal and explaining how to do things and why. The dinner was a feast with chicken, steak, seafood, a corn dish and several salsas. It was a memorable fun week!

Lovely house on the beach

The home is exactly as pictured. Lovely! Dora, the house manager, was great. Any questions or challenges, she took care of it fast! You need something delivered to the house, she had it done—bikes, a birthday cake, groceries, no problem, you name it Dora could get it. A cooking class at the house? Dora made that happen, too! One night Chef Pablo guided us as we grilled fresh fish, made two fresh salsas, ceviche, and creamy beans and rice, superb! He also cooked us a delicious chicken dinner our first night. Rafas made breakfast for 3 mornings. We ate out a lot. We loved Pelícanos for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, its ocean view was the best. We also ate at El Merkadito (another great view) Punta Corcho (super funky decor) and John Grays Kitchen (Dora’s restaurant great chicken dinner!). The Romarley restaurant is a ten minute walk from the house (good food and view).We biked a lot to the town square, fun ride. The walk along the beach to the square was great if you are up for it. We also booked a walking food tour through Viator with Chris. He’s amazing, knowledgeable, the food authentic, and overall fun. The tour was in Puerto Morelos across the road. We enjoyed it all! It’s easy to fall in love with Puerto Morelos and Dora! Thank you for a restful and lovely week!

BEST LUXURY HOUSE EVER!!

First of all I have to shout out DORA, our incredible personal concierge. She helped us plan all of our fun adventures while we were there including a private chef, massages, fishing, horse back riding and MORE. The house is an absolute stunner and even more magnificent in person. Extra bonus, it has a HUGE rooftop with insane views. We will definitely come back again in the near future. Lovely home.. great outdoor spaces including pool! Beach very small, rocky.. not as beautiful as others in Mexico! Lots of sargassum on beach/ water.. did not swim for first two days in ocean! Most disappointing part.. not a lovely beach!! Otherwise such a peaceful, beautiful property & incredibly relaxing stay! We did love it! Perfect for a group!

Absolutely FABULOUS!!

This property is actually better than advertised! Yes, it's beautiful, spacious and close to town but our stay was made better by the wonderful people that took care of us. We rented Villa Karina for my husband's 60th birthday celebration and were joined by 3 other couples and our daughter. Throughout the planning process and during our stay Dora made sure everything was effortless. Dora arranged our airport transfers as well as a stop to Chedraui for groceries and drinks. The first night Dora set up Chef Pablo to come cook for us after a day of travel. Everything was delicious!! For my husbands birthday Charlie cooked us chilaquiles (my husbands favorite) for breakfast, along with fresh fruit and fruit juices. AMAZING!! Breakfast was followed by massages on the rooftop (Vicki and Gabriella were fantastic!) We lounged by the pool and walked on the beach until dinner, where once again, Pablo cooked a wonderful dinner and Tony the bartender made sure our drinks were never empty. Truly a day a pampering and relaxation. We had Charlie come back and make dinner another night, his surf and turf meal on the grill was a real treat for all of us. We walked into town almost everyday (it's about a mile walk on the beach) to shop in the town square & try some of the local restaurants. Our favorite restaurant was John Gray's, absolutely amazing and owned by Dora!! I had no idea!! The trip and Villa Karina were amazing! We hope to return soon!

All we could have hoped for and more!!

The house was gorgeous- the location is awesome. The house was very clean and the grounds were immaculate. Dora was fabulous. So responsive and thoughtful. Shauna, the owner, was a pleasure to deal with. We can’t say enough good things about both of them!!! We had a group of 9 ranging from 18-78 and everyone loved the vacation. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back again- highly recommend to anyone!
