Checkin went fine but after dinner we discovered our key didn't work to one of our rooms locking us out. The front desk couldn't get it open, so we waited 2 hours for someone else to come in and use the master key. It turns out the lock was broken and we were moved to another room around 9PM the first night. When I asked to speak to a manager, I got the run around and no one seemed to want to help us get in touch. The elevator was broken when we arrived. I heard a guest say they had gotten stuck in it earlier that day. The room next door to ours looked like it had been kicked in and they had duct tape wrapped around the lock and handle. The breakfast was good and food service folks were friendly. Overall though, a pretty poor experience with La Quinta and I will not be back.

it needs to be updated. The closet door latch didn't work so the door stayed open all the time Something so small would have made the room better. At night we'd run into the door to use the bathroom! Also a crack in the toilet lid. Something else easy to fix. just needs some attention.
