The hotel is not as it claims wheelchair friendly you cant you ramp to get in front door as a planter is in the way l pointed this and noisy room and was told by a manager who was unprofessional bordering on downright rude to get over it and they dont listen to reviews. I hope more people express thier true fellings about this hotel thats run like a hostel

I was woken by loud music coming from behind my room at 5.30 am I assumed it was the gym but when I went downstairs to talk to the night porter, he said the gym was not open yet. I asked him to come up to the room and listen a s he said he could not hear anything. Later I spoke to the manager, who said they had never had a complaint before. I can deal with most annoyances, like the terrible smell in the corridors, which was not the smell of decorating as alluded to in a reply about another guest raising it. But the only thing that annoys me more than noise, is being gaslighted about it !

Overall Good stay
We were staying for one night before heading on holiday. Welcome was good, checkin easy. Room itself was clean and comfortable. Maybe a little tired. Bathroom i felt could do with an upgrade. The design of it i found a bit odd with the placement of soap dispensers and towel rails were awkwardly placed but still fine. Shower was decent. No plug for my baughter to use the bath as a bath. Breakfast innthe morning - there was plenty of choice but when we went down at 9am, the hot food had gone a bit stale and cold. Still edible but not very fresh which was a little disappointing for me. It wouldnt put me off using again though, and was a good stop over for us, practical and easy to find.

I did raise this at reception when leaving but sadly the person working on check outs was so disinterested in what I was saying he started a conversation with a fellow colleague half way through and seemingly forgot me! So due to this I write a poor review. The bathroom smelled of urine, there was no soap/shower gel in the bathroom, the water taps were plumbed in back to front (hot was cold and cold was hot), and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Some of the staff are very helpful, some just don’t care. It’s a shame as my last visit was fine, but this visit has made me question whether I would bother staying there again.
