A beautiful, peaceful spot for a southern Vermont getaway
The Jelly Mill is a lovely, welcoming cottage in the S. VT town of Guilford, nestled in the hills below the bigger town of Brattleboro. The location feels 'out of the way' - no big roads (or even paved roads), stores, 'hustle or bustle' anywhere close by - but Brattleboro has all that stuff and is only 20-30 minutes away. For 'last minute' items a charming, smaller grocery / sandwich shop is closer by. The property itself is very clean, with an up to date kitchen and glitch-free speedy Wi-Fi (no cell signal, however). The immediate surroundings offer plenty of dirt roads and snowmobile trails to hike around on and enjoy the quiet woods, rolling hills, gentle Green River, old covered bridges and small farm plots you'd expect in rural VT. For my stay I was looking for a clean, comfortable base in a peaceful, scenic, 'natural' New England setting. The Jelly Mill delivered! I would definitely return.

Great location, communicative and welcoming hosts, and great amenities. We loved grilling and using the firepit. The surrounding area is great to walk around in. Easy drive from here to Mt Snow.

wonderful little get away far off the beaten path
It is a beautiful home with a ton of space (we only had 3 people, but it easily sleeps 6), very clean and well-kept. Our hosts provided everything we needed to make our stay perfect. I also like that the hosts were not overboard with all the rules, as with some other rentals. The hosts were beyond friendly and had excellent communication throughout the whole process. If you are looking for a lovely home with a ton of space to stay while exploring Vermont and Massachusetts, I highly recommend this place.

Wonderful!
A bit off the beaten path…but worth it! Such an immaculate, comfortable home. It is nestled within the gorgeous beauty of southern Vermont. You can be in Brattleboro for necessities in 20 minutes. There are so many wonderful walks you can take right outside your door. This was just the calm we needed toward the end of our 10 day trip. I would return in a heartbeat!

Such a lovely stay!
Near Brattleboro and great restaurants and shopping, but remote for privacy and scenic views. The cottage was quite clean and had everything we needed. Got a bit lost when we were close, and the hosts actually drove out to where we were to help us find it. Comfy bed (we only used one bedroom), well-stocked pantry. Overall wonderful experience.

All the Comforts of Home in a Beautiful Location
This is my second time booking this home, it's such a great spot at a great price. This home has everything my family needed for a weekend away. The space was very comfortable and well-appointed with lots of outdoor and indoor spaces to enjoy. Noela was always quick to respond to messages. The location is just gorgeous with the river and the brook right across the street. Highly recommend.

One of the very best places we have stayed! The area is stunningly beautiful and the home was very clean and well appointed. We were perfectly comfortable with our 2 month old. My husband and teenage son enjoyed this secluded and quiet property alongside the river. The home was clean and perfect for them to cook dinners, hike the local area and just relax. Owners were very welcoming and easy to communicate with. They did not bring bikes this time but if they return they recommend bringing mountain bikes to enjoy the many dirt roads and beautiful area. They loved the ice cream place and the covered bridge. Thank you!

Quiet Retreat
We loved the beautiful location of this cute cottage! It was clean and well-stocked with everything you might need (including darts and games for rainy days). The swimming hole at the covered bridge was perfect for rejuvenating after a long walk or bike ride. The rushing waters of the river across the road and a very comfortable bed added to a restful night’s sleep. If you enjoy rural life, with dirt roads and dense woods, then this is the place for you!

Beautiful location
This cozy home is located on a beautiful river side, rural dirt road. Very quiet, our favorite feature was being able to hear the river when we were home. Brattleboro is an easy and beautiful drive. House was very clean and the bed is very comfy. Noela is very responsive and we appreciated the hospitality!
