I don’t usually post reviews but we loved this place so much I had too. It’s a wonderful place that has a view to die for. The rooms are beautiful and clean. So private and so beautiful.
At a prince point of almost 700 dollars a night I would not recommend this property at this cost. Having worked in the hospitality industry for a few years I know what I should expect at this price range and that was not what was provided. Lower price and I would say good place, but when you are spending this much you expect much more. Head's up for those that are booking - there is no in-room dining (although not listed kitchen is closed) and you are not near restaurants; pictures of the water is only at high tide otherwise its a mud flat; suite is all one space; continental breakfast is not continental (e.g. no choices of bread or cereals) just breakfast supplies (e.g. jar of muesli and a few other things for the week - no change or variety); pool was nice, but no whirlpool/spa/hot tub (apparently only in for some room types, but not how its portrayed on expedia which lists it as available).
The cleanest and quietest lodge ever. Hosts are highly polite and generous.
We were pampered 24/7 while we were there. You can expect excellence in food and patronage.
We give a 5stars badge to the Te Koi Lodge!
From the minute we arrived we felt so relaxed. The view and the peaceful surrounding were great. The hosts went beyond by booking us into a restaurant for our first night and supply some beer and wine samplers. The area is so quiet and relaxing we just loved it. Breakfast was in the main house and was well catered.
The Bronte Estate is a hidden gem where modern comforts meet the kind of quaint style that's become hard to find anywhere in the world these days. Our plush, comfortable, calming villa was a treat after days on the road, stocked with regional wines and fresh-picked apples from the property orchard. Surrounding the estate are beautiful gardens with hidden footpaths to plum and peach trees, a tree swing, salt water pool and vine-covered gazebos—just some of the discoveries to be made when walking around. The hosts couldn't have been sweeter, we adored them. And of course, breakfast was lovely—served outside in the sunshine on the back porch of their beautiful home. As far as bed and breakfasts go, this one stands out among the rest.
We had a very relaxing, wonderful three day say in one of the cottages on the water's edge that had beautiful views of the distance mountains. Surrounded by apple orchards and vineyards as well the estates own beautiful rose garden that made for very peaceful place to just sit and collect your thoughts. It's always nice to just stop and "smell the roses"!
We really enjoyed this Bed & Breakfast. It is sort of halfway between Nelson and the Abel Tasman. There were some nice restaurants with a short drive nearby that we enjoyed and we liked the easy access to the park.
