A wonderful little home that was greatly enjoyed by my family. Manager very attentive and owners reasonable. Would recommend to anyone looking for a good price on a family rental in Golden Isles region.
Given some of the reviews here, I was expecting to find this house to be tiny with a galley kitchen & in the middle of the slums. That couldn't be further from the truth. There's plenty of room for a family up to 5, and 6 seems reasonable depending on the age of the kids. It's clearly still being renovated, but is a great bargain even in it's current state. For example, there were upgraded water fixtures to be installed sitting neatly in the back of the master closet, but it did not give a cluttered or "under construction" feel.
The kitchen is stocked with what I would expect for this level of rental. An exception to that was there wasn't a pan of any sort (plenty of skillets and pots), which when I pointed out to the manager, they promptly had their cleaning staff buy a cookie sheet and bring it over the same day (great service and response). If you are serious about cooking yourself when traveling the way we are, you will want to bring all of the usual items to supplement. This means bring your own spices, waffle maker, or whatever special items you may want. The basics are all there and of an appropriate quality.
The neighborhood is working class & the neighbors are friendly. Anyone complaining about it is probably more used to a pristine tourist area which this is not. Three houses down there is a home with significant fire damage, but importantly, we saw no signs of vagrancy or crime. You also can't see the burned house from anywhere on the property, so it's only relevant when you are driving down the street.
It is true that generally Brunswick can have strong industrial smell depending on which way the wind is blowing (which has purportedly gotten worse in 2020 till now). We stayed for five days & this was only an issue for half the day, and only outside. It's clear the owners have invested heavily in HVAC as the air inside was crystal clear, sent free, & perfectly air conditioned. If people are of particular concern or medically fragile, nitrogen dioxide & hydrogen sulfide seemed the most likely culprits, & EPA is already investigating (e.g. the GP Cellulose paper plant). We checked (and smelled) air quality every day, & it really was only 6 or so hours the first night, & never in the house. We hope to stay here again.
