The tone was set poorly after making the reservation as I called about an agreement we had to sign after making the reservation. A renter should be able to see these rules prior to renting. They were rules such as no children under 18 in the hot tub, if you get a makeup stain a white towel you have to pay for a new one. I am a very clean and meticulous person, but here were SO many rules, and some were ridiculous (in my opinion). Upon speaking with him, I asked about this charge discount showing $10/person. He stated that often times two families come and split the cost, so he charges a $10 per person per night fee over 4 guests, even though it is advertised to sleep 8 or 10. This was not advertised anywhere in the listing. If we had cancelled, we would not have gotten refunded any money, or we would have.
Once there, the cabin itsself was layed out well with amazing views. *If you’re staying here you absolutely need 4WD. It was terrifying at best getting up to the cabin and getting down. There is a super steep & narrow gravel drive and sharp turn required to get into the driveway at the top. Too much over correcting or sliding and you’re going off a cliff. But, knce you’re up there, it’s beautiful. Last, the cleanliness was terrible. The pullout couch mattress had stains, hair and food in it. There were huge dust balls around and under the beds and living room furniture. It was a good location and layout, but because of the above, I would not stay here again.
