Lucky Bay Hideaway - Seafront at Notre Dame

Escape to a magical place of tranquility at the LUCKY BAY HIDEAWAY. Wake up to the sunrise, sounds of seagulls and waves rolling onto the beach only a few meters away.

Enjoy a cup of coffee on the deck while taking in the 180 degree seaview of NOTRE DAME BAY which is called the Caribbean of the North.
Take a day trip to Twillingate; Newfoundland’s famous Iceberg Alley town or famous Fogo island.

The LUCKY BAY HIDEAWAY is a unique vacation home on NOTRE DAME BAY, because it lays so close to the bay and was recently completely renovated and decorated with love in cottage style with high quality materials ; the roomy, fully equipped and bright kitchen is the perfect place to prepare local seafood like lobsters and cod. Outdoors a gas BBQ and fire pit are the ‘stars’ of summer cooking. Adhirondack chairs invite to linger underneath the gently whispering Aspens moved by sea breeze.

Two large panorama windows give the impression as to watch ever changing seascape paintings. The interior design reflects beautiful shades of blue, glacial turquoise and driftwood colors – taking nature inside.
These natural spectacles can be enjoyed whilst laying in bed or soaking in the huge double bathtub or lounging in a leather electric recliner chair in front of the panorama windows.
The electric adjustable master bed is a further highlight when waking up as well as electric remote controlled blinds to enjoy fascinating sunrises.
It is an open floor plan which means that the Master bedroom is not completely closed off but at the same time not visible from the living/dining room and kitchen. The second bedroom with it’s own bathroom is separated by a door from the so called ‘Master Suite’.
The house is perfect for couples who want two bedrooms.

A new heating system was installed and also a reversed heat/air condition unit for more comfort during very cold or very hot days. WE ARE OPEN ALL YEAR AROUND!
We provide 2 pairs of snow shoes with sticks for free and kayaks can be rented in summer.

As a special feature there is the possibility for a selection of SPA treatments (manicure, pedicure, massages and skin treatments) next door. Please book in advance upon receiving the welcome letter.

We hope you enjoy your stay! We have personally thought through all of the amenities and hope to provide you with all the comforts of home.

The house has been totally remodeled in 2023 including kitchen, bathrooms, all flooring and even windows.

As a self-catering house, you'll find everything you need for a perfect stay.
The kitchen has a fridge-freezer, a hob, a double oven, a kettle, a dishwasher, Nespresso and drip coffee machine and a microwave. Full size washer and dryer as well.

The house is a perfect place to relax and offers television programs and fast business internet access. A desk in the second bedroom comes in handy for 'work at home' as well as a color printer.

The state of the art XL electric fireplace provides a cozy ambience and The Frame TV can be set to display beautiful artwork and is a Smart TV.

This house has 2 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 4. The Master bedroom has a Californian king bed (extralong) and is electrically adjustable.
The second bedroom features two extra-long single beds which can be set up as a king bed if you wish so. Electric black out shades guarantee a restful sleep.

We also provide an electric car charging station on site - free of charge for our guests.
  • Air-conditioned home with kitchen, washing machine and fireplace
  • 17.8 miles (28.7 km) from Notre Dame Provincial Park
Lucky Bay Hideaway - Seafront at Notre Dame offers its guests barbecue grills and a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.

What a perfect place we found in Newfoundland. Quiet, peaceful and absolutely perfect. Spotless with beautiful views right on the coast. Beautifully decorated with all the conveniences you need. We had a fantastic time and will return next summer.

Wonderful house with amazing view
The house is new and modern, very well equipped, has a amazing view and very clean. The environment is totally different then all the other spots we visited…there is nothing you can really do and the town is not worth visiting. It‘s a great place to relax or you use it as a central location to experience the north. You need a while to figure out all the great features in the house - the fireplace was not working and the Wlan was very weak.

Wonderful House on the Bay!
We stayed a week at the house and found it everything one could want on a vacation - well-maintained, everything functioning, fabulous views, and great location to visit this area of Newfoundland. We were able to see icebergs, take wonderful walks, enjoy Twillingate and, we even saw a young moose along side one of the roads!
