A boutique hotel near the airport welcomed us with an unpleasant smell of sewage… and nice drinks at the reception. Very nice and English-speaking staff. The lobby is probably the only nice and undamaged place, you can take nice pictures. We were accepted for check-in quite early at no extra cost and that's nice. The hotel is not adapted for people with disabilities. The room with access to the pool somewhat compensates for all the other inconveniences. impossible to sleep without earplugs due to noise from nearby expressway, door to room very leaky. The rooms are clean, tidy and with clean bedding. The breakfast offer is a misunderstanding, it should not be called breakfast, it is a few pieces of different fruits plus instant coffee or tea and juice. The rest must be ordered from the menu and additionally paid, costs about $14 for eggs of Benedict style. Restaurant located in 1st floor, clean and well decorated. Sky Bar on roof very poor condition, the views compensate for the quality. Room service well but no chance to pay by card due to poor WiFi service. The quality of serving meals is good, the chef unfortunately has problems with repeating dishes, the ordered burger looked different in each order. to sum up, the hotel is nice for taking pictures, it's hard to relax there, many places are not suitable for use after less than 3 years, a lot of work to restore it.

The hotel is filthy. Smells disgusting. Was my reservation for 5 day been paid upfront so when I arrived there was disappointed so I cancelled the reservation unfortunately they didn’t gave me my money back they charged me little more than 2 nights So I believe so strongly they scammed Americans people in this way so I been really disappointed from Expedia too because this company been trusted by millions of Americans allows this company to scam American people

Great staff, very hard working to make sure your stay is great. They are in a rebuild mode so a lot of the property is still damaged. The food and drinks were a little on the pricey side as well. Lots of road noise from inside the rooms, but the beach was a little more quiet.

There are many areas in the hotel in urgent need for maintenance. Noise from exterior is extremely loud, the room need los of isolation as it is very difficult to sleep due to the high levels of exterior noise. To move around you need to rent a car as the public transport does not reach the area where the hotel is located and the nearest beach is like 40 minutes walk

Beautiful hotel, or at least the lobby and pool areas are - but as others have mentioned it is right on the highway and quite noisy. Room doors face the highway and have glass panels. It also needs better upkeep. They did not run the pool filters while we were there - even the small one when we were swimming in it. Staff are great and very friendly. There is one onsite restaurant with average food (poor considering price) and nothing nearby. Okay for an overnight stay close if you need something close to the airport on your way out, but I wouldn't stay longer than that.

If you’re expecting a luxurious 4-5 star resort at a bargain price, this might not be the place for you. It’s a classic case of “you get what you pay for.” Pros: 1. The lobby is beautifully decorated and creates a great first impression. 2. Rooms are clean and equipped with basic necessities. Cons: 1. Street Noise: The noise from the street is unbearable. Despite reading similar complaints in reviews, I didn’t expect it to be this bad. The room materials seem to amplify rather than block the sound. The sliding glass doors and the wooden entry door do nothing to keep out the constant traffic noise, making it impossible to sleep without earplugs. It felt as though the doors were open, and the sound resonated throughout the room. This is an issue the resort needs to address urgently. 2. Beach Access: While the listing advertises beach access, the area isn’t suitable for swimming. The beach is essentially a marshy extension with abundant sea life and plants, making it unsafe and uncomfortable for swimmers. During our visit, the shallow water was filled with sea anemones and seaweed, and the deeper water seemed ideal for creatures like rays. The beach is better suited for sunbathing or collecting seashells rather than swimming. 3. Service Issues: Service was a major letdown. Upon check-in, no towels were provided in our room. Despite being promised 5 towels (2 bath towels, a hand towel, and 2 beach towels), I had to ask four times for tow

Very unique property. Some things are run down and could use repair but as they get busier those things should be done. Can’t swim at the beach because it’s a swamp area but the beach area is nice and unique. The staff are friendly and the restaurant is good. Probably not a great place to stay for a long stay but a nice change for 1 or 2 nights.

Property did not have good customer service. They did not have water in room that they said they would , TV didn't work during the whole stay even after changing the room, wifi was not working, pool is dirty they do not keep it clean at all, breakfast in the morning is not satisfactory. They dont have a working phone in the rooms so for customers to reach reception is through whatsapp which wasnt doable because of wifi not working. Private beach area is not clean either. Broken pathway to beach NOT SAFE. I would NOT recommend this resort to anyone EVER.

If you enjoy relaxing, this is the place for you! I had a wonderful vacation at Akuazul resorts. The hotel was very peaceful, and tucked away almost like a rain forest combined with a private beach. I can stay on the beach literally all day! It’s nice to not have a lot of traffic on the beach from vendors, and other guests moving their lounge chairs in front of yours. Lol This private beach prevents that. The lounges are permanent on the resort so everyone has a nice view. The staff was sooooo beyond nice! So friendly, kind and accommodating. The staff are nicest at ANY hotel I’ve ever been to! Very nice resort. There were some areas that were being repaired due to the hurricane but the resort was lovely, I plan on visiting again!

Paradise but noisy! Still glad I stayed there!
This place was like waking into a Disney theme hotel! It is a conscious minded person’s paradise! Peaceful and spiritual vibe! Awesome decor! Excellent food! The only problem was the noise from the highway!!! My first clue, was the room had complimentary earplugs!!! I used them and well worth it!
