This beautiful1700 ancient farmhouse, converted in 2020 into a charming country villa, is really an unique way to experience an unforgettable vacation in Tuscany.
It is located at walking distance from a medieval hamlet, on the hillside 10 Kms north of Lucca, in a green and panoramic area. The covered Patio, the magic pool and all the terraced garden allow our guests to enjoy the immaculate landscape while completely relaxing. Not last a perfect retreat to use as a base to Tuscany, still enjoying the life of a true Tuscan mansion

GROUND FLOOR
The ground floor opens onto a huge living room with fireplace, tv, sofas, with table and chairs. From the living room there is access to four bedrooms and 3 bathrooms (one en-suite), all equipped with modern facilities.

CENTRAL FLOOR
From a covered patio, ideal for 'al fresco' lunch and dinner, there is access to a salon with sofas, tv, fireplace and to the dining room. A door opens into the typical Tuscan and full equipped kitchen. There is a guest bathroom in this floor

FIRST FLOOR
On the first floor there is a master bedroom with a bathroom en-suite

OUTSIDE
Great views on the sloping hills, the ancient churches and the amazing village nearby makes the outside area and the great garden a very special and relaxing place for an holiday. In different corners of the garden there are deckchairs to enjoy the peace and beauty of this magic place.

A wonderful infinity swimming pool, with gazebo and sofas, is located in an upper position and dominates the entire property and the valley below. There is a dressing room and bathroom close to the pool.

Just out of the door there are some wonderful walks and opportunities for tours and trekking through the old medioeval narrow stone-paved streets of the village, really experiencing the true flavour of a tiny X century Tuscan hamlet.

Quite Frankly, One of a Kind
It is hard to describe how incredible this stay was. We stayed as a family of six adults, and the home was a great space to be together while allowing each person to have their own space. Location-wise, you are at the base of the quintessential Tuscan hamlet, San Gennaro, and then close (5 min drive) to Collodi, a bit larger and hidden mountain village. The views from the home are unbeatable as well. Dario (owner) and Monica (property manager) were two of the best hosts we have ever encountered. If you are debating whether or not to stay here, consider the decision made.

Our stay at this Lucca hills country house in late May/early June was magnificent! Dario was an outstanding host and Monica the house manager was incredible. House was super clean and comfortable. Assistant Monica was incredibly helpful and kind and spoke some English. She not only gave great information but dropped off a cake for my daughters birthday. The home had all the conveniences of home along with much more. This was super conveniently located and close to Lucca and Pisa. An hour away from a few more line Florence and CinqueTerra and more. Comfortable for ten. Great little restaurant close as well. We really enjoyed our stay. Cheers We will be back.

Our high expectations were exceeded
We were so excited for our stay. The pictures on the listing were gorgeous and somehow the home and views are even more breathtaking in person. I cannot recommend this home highly enough. The caretaker Monica was so kind, gracious and is an incredible cook! We cannot wait to return soon.

Fantastic Stay in Tuscany!
We had an amazing stay in 'La Crocetta' ! The property is even more beautiful than in photos, the pool was amazing, and the sunset views were unbeatable. We had six adults and two children stay very comfortably in the home. It is also centrally located, an easy drive to Florence, Luca, the Italian Seaside at Viareggio and Forte dei Marmi, as well as Pisa. We loved our stay and hope to go back again soon!

My family (we were 9) had the most amazing time at this gorgeous property. The place is very special and you truly experience the magic of Tuscany. Wunderbare Villa
Die Villa ist wunderschön inmitten eines Olivenhains gelegen mit Weitsicht bis nach Lucca. Das Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt, mit einem grossen Garten und einem schönen Pool, und das Haus ist hochwertig und modern ausgerüstet. Dario und Monica waren sehr hilfsbereit und haben uns mit guten Tipps für Restaurants und Ausflüge versorgt. Wir können die Villa vorbehaltslos weiter empfehlen.
