Cute cabin. Lots of sleeping space. Nice kitchen and bathroom. Nice additional glamper space. Lots of firewood and good outdoor campfire space.
The dock is very hard to get to, down some crazy stairs and root-filled, rock-strewn, steep path. We didn’t use it very much because it was too stressful. We drove to the campground to fish, swim, and kayak. It’s $8 for a day pass. There isn’t a washer or dryer at the cabin. That made it hard, especially since there weren’t enough kitchen towels or bathroom washcloths. Usually I just do laundry and don’t worry about how many towels and washcloths are provided, but it felt like we had to ration our towels and washcloths. There were no kitchen washcloths, I got some from Dollar General. There were only three rolls of toilet paper provided. Luckily, Dollar General is close by.
Overall, the hosts are helpful and friendly and quick to respond, the cabin was affordable, and I love Caroga Lake, so it was a good week.
