Pros:
Location was great, walkable to everything downtown. Quick response when communicating with host. She helped with check-in and making sure we felt safe during our stay. She also allowed a late check-out, which was much appreciated! It was a Clean room. Nice AC which was wonderful for the Charleston heat.
Cons:
We were woken up at 730 AM on our first morning by the sounds of nail guns, air compressors and table saws from the construction happening to their house and addition of a pool. Which continued on for most of the morning. We communicated this with the host who apologized and said she would ask them to start later the following morning. Unfortunately, no change the following two mornings.
We weren’t able to sleep in and it’s just not a relaxing/peaceful atmosphere with hours on hours of table saws, hammering, and nail guns going. Very disappointing as we were on vacation.
Bed is very soft, too soft for our liking. With the price point for the stay, there really shouldn’t be any construction beginning before 9 AM. Communication about the construction including noise levels and start time would have been appreciated prior to our stay.
