My 4 children, their spouses, and children joined my husband and I for a family vacation. We came from all different directions. The house was lovely and we had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The house was well stocked with dishes, towels, and supplies. The couch in the lower level was ripped on the back but still usable. The beds were very comfortable. The pool area was fantastic and we used it all the time. It was clean and well maintained. However, the grassy area in the back yard was a muddy mess. If you walked on the grass, your feet were sucked into mud. This was not due to rain as we had one rainy night the entire stay and it was muddy the whole time. Not a good situation with kids. The front yard was dry, we just didn't use it.
However, there were several hiccups that affected our stay. The house was not available at 4, Cleaners needed until 5:45. The sewer broke and overflowed. Toilet paper and fecal matter were all over the lower deck, by the outdoor shower and stairs from upper deck. This took 2 days, Sunday and Monday all day, to fix properly, resulting in many, many hours without any running water each day. The next morning, the upper level A/C malfunctioned, creating a pocket of water in the ceiling which dripped onto the couch in the living room, soaking part of the couch, making it unusable. HVAC tech came that morning and fixed it in about 2 hours.
These hiccups caused the adults a great deal of stress.
