We were disappointed by several things at this property, especially for the money we spent for the stay. Seemed poorly kept. Not very clean, spider webs and bugs in many of the rooms upon arrival. Two steps on the deck stairs with very loose boards that detached when stepped on and had exposed rusty screws. Big safety issue. Stair to basement missing a ledge, also a safety issue. No trash cans in bathrooms. Kitchen lacked kitchen towels and pot holders. Ice machine did not work. Pool was too cold to use.

Great Long Weekend

Quiet neighborhood.Spacious house with garage and fun lounge area in the bittom level. Amazing fenced yard with pool and fire pit. We gathered to spend time with family and it was just what we needed for our large group to hang out, spread out, relax as needed.

Home away from home!!

My family is rather large but we each have a way of making a house a home!! The owners of the house opened their home for us to enjoy and that was very important. However, the best thing about our stay was the expert helpful and timely response I got from using the Avanta company. I will seek out their properties in the future😀

Annual golf trip

Our stay was exactly what we were looking for. The sleeping accommodations were perfect. All amenities were as described. The only issue was the temperature of the pool. It was a bit cold due to an issue with a bad heating element. Otherwise, everything was great.

My family of 11 adults and a newborn stayed for a running event in the area. Plenty of room and quiet for adults who wake at different hours. Never heard anyone in the morning. Outdoor amenities were amazing, counted 5 fireplaces/fire pits. Well appointed and very clean. Great place to stay. Would definitely stay again. 👍👍

Perfect Lake House!

We had the BEST time staying at Making Waves. The pictures really don’t do this property justice. It’s so well maintained and no detail is over looked. The pool is so nice, the game room and bar is amazing and all the bathrooms are so clean. We loved staying here and had great communication with management company.

Making Waves

This is an amazing home. Beds are super comfy and kitchen well stocked. Only missing a full set of measuring cups (only had the full cup). The pool proved to be the highlight of the trip. Close to places we wanted to visit. Very quiet location. Perfect amount of space for all 18 of us which included 7 children.

Family Vacation

My 4 children, their spouses, and children joined my husband and I for a family vacation. We came from all different directions. The house was lovely and we had plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The house was well stocked with dishes, towels, and supplies. The couch in the lower level was ripped on the back but still usable. The beds were very comfortable. The pool area was fantastic and we used it all the time. It was clean and well maintained. However, the grassy area in the back yard was a muddy mess. If you walked on the grass, your feet were sucked into mud. This was not due to rain as we had one rainy night the entire stay and it was muddy the whole time. Not a good situation with kids. The front yard was dry, we just didn't use it. However, there were several hiccups that affected our stay. The house was not available at 4, Cleaners needed until 5:45. The sewer broke and overflowed. Toilet paper and fecal matter were all over the lower deck, by the outdoor shower and stairs from upper deck. This took 2 days, Sunday and Monday all day, to fix properly,resulting in many, many hours without any running water each day. The next morning, the upper level A/C malfunctioned, creating a pocket of water in the ceiling which dripped onto the couch in the living room, soaking part of the couch, making it unusable. HVAC tech came that morning and fixed it in about 2 hours. These hiccups caused the adults a great deal of stress.

Great for Multigeneration Family Event

This VRBO was more stocked than any we have ever stayed at. SO clean. Pack and Plays, fans, spices, Instapots, blenders, etc. They just had all the little extras that make it sooo much easier to stay. We brought 2 Instapots and did not need them!!!! Kids loved the pool and the lake. We rented a boat with a tube locally. So much fun. Do NOT hesitate to book. Pool was super cold due to the cloudy weather and trees around it. Just a note if you have littles, there is only one bath tub in the house. AMAZING spa tub but all the kids had to bathe in the master. We really did not need to leave but if we did everything was close to buy groceries etc. Pool table, ping pong, and foosball were so much fun!!!

Me and my family had a great stay here. The house was amazing it was spacious. Everything was clean and exactly how it was described when I booked it. My family loved it there was plenty to do. We were so close to many restaurants and shops. We definitely have this house saved in our favorites we look forward to booking again in the future.

A Great Experience

This property is lovely and well appointed from the top to the bottom. It was everything we hoped for! The appliances were amazing. The teens enjoyed the kayaks and paddle board. The pool and game room were big hits. The home is just so well suited for family groups with teenagers. We cannot say enough about the host! So helpful and responsive. We would definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

It was the perfect house!

Having the pool and access to the lake was perfect! We rented a boat and had the perfect vacation. The fenced in area was great for our grandkids ages 2,3,9,10 & 12. The lake water was warm, the first floor deck area was perfect with overhead fans. Great house for a large family. And the property manager was the absolute best!

Annual Family Reunion

We were disappointed by not having enough linens or pillows to use all the beds. Towels and wash clothes were limited as well. I went out and bought some but didn’t leave them behind, sorry. For such an expensive cleaning fee this place had mold in the showers, filthy baseboards and trash and junk taking up the parking spaces in the garage. All of this gave this expensive rental a dirty feeling. A very nice welcome gift of wine, chocolates and snacks were there on our arrival, that was very nice.

Beautiful house and property

My family and I had a great time celebrating my parents’ 50th anniversary during our stay! The house was lovely and the pool was amazing. It is not heated, but we found it perfect. We rented a pontoon boat and docked it right there at the personal dock. Communication with the host was excellent as we had a few hiccups. Our only negative was there being one bathroom for the entire upstairs. We made it work though! Wonderful place!

Amazing Memorial Day Weekend

Took a long weekend with 6 couples for a fun getaway on the lake with our friends. Each couple had their own room. Property was clean, open, and comfortable with lots of water toys for both the pool and the lake and so much to do! We never left the house. The neighborhood was beautiful, and the property manager was available for all of our questions!
