Wasn’t impressed, roomed had an overwhelming smell of paint, couldn’t turn the light on without the extractor making a ridiculously loud noise, and the room was tiny for a two night stay We’ve stayed before there an it was a loads better experience, breakfast is great though and love chester

Fantastic stay
First time we have stayed at the hotel and it’s safe to say we were not disappointed. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming and the hotel’s facilities are excellent. The breakfast is really good and there is plenty to choose from, also the free secure parking is excellent and an added bonus. The restaurant is excellent and they have some great offers on for residents, the hotel offered a New Year’s Eve party special which was a 3 course meal with a glass of Prosecco and was very well priced. Chester city centre is a 5 minute walk which is ideal and if you walk along the canal path there’s a great pub 3 minutes away called the Harkers Arms. We enjoyed the hotel that much we have already booked for New Year’s Eve this year and we can recommend this hotel highly. Also our room was cleaned every day with the towels replaced every day, all together we had a fantastic 3 nights and the staff were first class.

We stayed for 4 nights over new year with friends and family as it was my husbands 60th birthday New Year’s Day we went to the New Year’s Eve gala and it was excellant the food was amazing as was the staff the only thing letting it down was the Disco very poor choice of music when he did get everyone dancing he would spoil it with a rubbish song and everyone would sit down a lot of other people we spoke to some who had been coming for years said the same even tho we kept making requests he didn’t play them otherwise a great evening

The Hotel is a fabulous stay , staff work hard to make it an exceptional experience around the building it is clean modern and cosy....our room unfortunately was really dated and not great to stay in especially for 3 night's which let our experience down and it would be nice for a refurbishment to take place as some area's we're lovely and modern. With the Hotel busy for new year we didn't address this and the overall experience made up for it .

New Year at The Mill Chester
Stayed over the new year. As always the service we received was excellent. Had breakfast every morning and it was always hot and we were served with a smile. The party night for New Year’s Eve was amazing, along with the food and the service from all of the staff. Thank you all so much.

Comfortable central hotel.
Great hotel for a few days away in Chester. Good room service and very attentive housekeeping who could not do enough for us fair play. Definitely will stay again. Very comfortable hotel.Parking for Hotel.com quests is £12 per night but free for direct bookings with hotel that’s a bit steep but your rooms booked early enough will compensate for that.

Ok stay. Room was adequate but needed better lighting and bigger single beds. The bathroom was very dated and shower was just a mixer tap style shower with poor water pressure. Breakfast was ok but busy and needed to be better laid out. The gym and spa was very good. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Just needs some refurbishing to make it better.

Chester - nice weekend away
The hotel was very clean. The staff very helpful, polite and friendly. The beds and pillows were not at all comfortable. They need replacing. The hotel is situated just out of town. The spa was was good and the pool thankfully was heated. Overall, a good stay
