We didn't choose this location because of it’s beautiful appointments because there really aren’t any. We booked it because it was cheap alternative to a hotel, had a garage, and was reasonably easy to get to. That being said, you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, it was a mixed bag when it came to cleanliness. First of all, the garage had a ton of rat droppings in side and on the step. Wasn’t a pleasant thing to pull up to. Secondly, the back deck was still dusted in snow and there was no salt on the property so I shoveled it and bought salt (for which I was reimbursed). As my kids were preparing their space, one of them found a clump of hair in the sheets. Additionally, as a basic rule of thumb a renter should never have to ask if the tap water is safe to drink and be told to drink water from the fridge only to discover the water filter has expired. I communicated these and other items to the owners and they were very apologetic and reiterated they will do better. The owners are very quick on their responses which is super helpful and I am grateful for. I would also recommend they increase the amount of plates, bowls, cutting boards, etc. It is clear that others have used this house very hard which is why the owners have adopted rules that aren’t hard to follow if you respect other people’s property. Other positive things: beds were all very comfortable, the showers were great, and a quiet neighborhood.
