We have been to Chicago visiting family many times.
The main reason for our visit this time was to see our Philadelphia Phillies vs Cubs at Wrigley Field with friends who have never been there. We didn't need to rent a car because we were within walking distance (.2 miles - 5 minutes!) to the field. (We also took a tour of Wrigley the day before the game which was really awesome!) The Racine house is in a beautiful, quiet, safe and well-maintained area of Chicago. It was fun to walk around and check out the architecture and flower gardens. (Lots of nice bars and restaurants too.) It was also a short walk to catch the "L" and explore downtown Chicago. We went to Millennium Park where we saw the "Cloud Gate" sculpture, Lurie Garden, stunning architecture, and caught a free blues act at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion.
The Racine apartment itself was very clean, cozy and well appointed. The only negative comment I have is that the living room was super cold and the bedroom was warm. There was also an issue with the Wi-Fi which we were not using, nor planning to use. I only gave four stars for the accuracy of the listing because I think it may be a little cramped for four adults in a basement apartment. Definitely plan to come back again!
