We decided to escape Seattle over New Year's and seek serenity in the Cascades, celebrating New Year's with our canine companions and friends to have some fun-filled days in the snow—and boy did we ever!
We had so much snow, we had to adjust our travel plans to come a day early. Thank you so much Leah for accomodating us on such short notice and get the house ready for us a day early. Had we stuck to our original travel plans, we would have never made it, as Snoqualmie Pass was closed for the better part of last Thursday.
We ended up spending our entire time around this gorgeous property. We brought snowshoes, sleds, and snow tubes...never have I seen a bunch of middle-aged adults laughing this hard sliding down a hill in over two feet of pristine powder.
The cabin is simply beautiful. An extraordinarily well-stocked kitchen, beautifully decorated rooms (Leah, I just love your artwork all over the house which tells so well the story of your travels) great! matrasses, beautiful lines, and towels. We never wanted for anything.
The property is incredibly easy to get to. The streets were very well plowed and the neighbors took exceptional care of our driveway to make sure we could get in and out with no issues. (all-wheel drive or winter tires a must!)
The instructions for the house and additional information the owners put together are superb, so is the extensive library of videos and games.
We cooked up a storm over 4 gorgeous snow and sun-filled days, even found the trail behind the house, had some lovely evenings in front of the fireplace, and were treated more than once with elk and deer coming by the house.
Thank you for having us, Leah. You guys are amazing hosts. We will for sure be back!
