Our family of five adults met here for a wonderful Thanksgiving vacation. The location is wonderful as we walked to breakfast at the Whisk & Grind and the Salty Bagel, and a fantastic dinner at the 4th Street filling station.
There is construction going on one building away - a Westin is being built. While the owner can’t control that, I did ask about it before signing the contract which contains a clause about that. He said it wasn’t bothersome when he was there but we had unfortunately been there when they were pounding supports into the ground which shook our building starting at 7am.
The condo unit itself is very comfortable and has lots of amenities like beach chairs and full size washer and dryer which we really appreciated. The primary bedroom is very large with a small bathroom that could use some TLC (cleaning, painting and a screw stuck up in the drain that was sharp). We ate out for most meals, but the kitchen had everything we needed. Be careful - the fridge door doesn’t close on its own.
Our biggest complaint is that the floors could have been cleaner, and the kitchen floor needs to be repaired. It seems that maybe the subfloor had been damaged so that there was a bump in the middle and everyone you walked in the kitchen the tiles would rub against each other and knock grout loose.
Not the owners fault of course, but we got stuck in the elevator. The emergency services got us out right away, but the elevator was out of commission for a couple of days.
