Things didn't go as planned from the start. I arrived at the property at 5pm and went to check in, but there was nobody there. I waited for 15 minutes before leaning over the counter and shouting "Hello?" No response so I went out to my car to get my stuff.. Went back in and there was still nobody around. I called the phone number listed on my reservation and no one picked up, just a"beep beep" the call was disconnected. Another customer came in and I mentioned I had been there for over 30 minutes and she called the same number and someone actually answered. The employee came out of the restroom about 5 minutes later.
I already had my ID and Credit card I used to reserve the room on the counter. She swiped my card 7 times, asking me if I could give it to her again after each attempt. She then tells me not to worry, the issue wasn't with my card, it was their computer. She then said to tell the morning on duty person what happened if they asked. Once I got settled in the room, went to join the WiFi and my room number/last name was not in the system. Used my hotspot.
At 6am, I was awakened by someone trying to come in the room. They tried several times but didn't say anything. Fell back asleep and was awakened again 30 min later when someone again tried forcing the door open. Then the phone started ringing so I got up and went to the desk to ask why they were trying to get in my room. I was told their system had showed that I had checked out already! Horrible!
