Was grateful to find a cabin for such a great value. It really is a great little cabin, everything I think of when I think “cabin”. They supply a lot of things I haven’t had at rentals before, spices, ziploc bags and tinfoil, a drawer full of notepads and coloring stuff, books, some fire starters, shampoo/conditioner/lotion, LOTS of towels, etc. we found it easy to cook and the owners next door even had sour cream when we forgot ours. The grocery store is not far either, 15 minutes just like at home. We made sure to use the bikes, paddle bike, paddle boat, kayak and lift jackets. We parked our boat by the dock overnight, though did pull it out when it was going to storm. Public launch is just around the corner. It was nice having the owners close by but didn’t really see them much. Best part about the cabin; king bed, wifi and TV, great deck with nice furniture. They don’t have AC, but it was fine, plenty of fans. It’s a cozy cabin. Has everything you need, but with our group of 2 adults and 4 teenagers, if everyone was up moving around at the same time, there were little traffic jams. You know how kitchens get!😊 water was hot and beds were decent. Fishing was kind of slow, but that’s August for you. We did catch enough to eat well at least one night! Cute resort on the island across the way, so it’s not a secluded. Nice that the waterway by the cabin is no wake. Ducks and chipmunks are cute, entertaining and not shy!😆 no laundry, so just plan accordingly, 15 minutes to laundromat in town. With all the towels supplied, we were fine without it. We brought a few of our own beach towels but you can imagine how many are needed with 2 adults, 4 teenagers and a dog.
