Willkommen bei unserer Corolla-Flucht, einem gut ausgestatteten Strandhaus mit den neuesten Annehmlichkeiten, das auch an frühe Strandhäuser erinnert, die innen mit Wacholderwänden und -decken ausgekleidet sind! Dieses Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet, mit schönen Details versehen und bietet Annehmlichkeiten an der Küste wie einen privaten Pool und einen Whirlpool. Die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und die Kunst im ganzen Haus ist eine Hommage an einheimische Vögel und Wildtiere, die Sie das ganze Jahr über direkt vor den Fenstern am See sehen können! Die ganze Familie wird Radtouren und Spaziergänge auf den Naturpfaden und Straßen dieser ruhigen Gemeinde genießen.

Kinder werden die erste Ebene des Hauses lieben, mit einem eigenen TV-Raum und einem Billardtisch (der sich leicht in Tischtennis verwandeln lässt). Bis zu sechs Kinder können im Schlafzimmer der Ebene 1 schlafen und haben ein eigenes Schlafzimmer. Snacks und Getränke erhalten Sie in der Küchenzeile, die sich nur wenige Schritte vom Pooldeck entfernt befindet.

Auf der zweiten Ebene kann sich Ihre Familie um den großen Küchentisch und die Frühstücksbar versammeln, um Mahlzeiten und Unterhaltung zu genießen. Gleich neben der Küche befindet sich unser komfortables Arbeitszimmer mit Fernseher und Stereoanlage mit Surround-Sound. Betreten Sie das Deck und genießen Sie den atemberaubenden Seeblick. Zwei Schlafzimmer (Queen und Double) haben jeweils ein eigenes Bad.

Gehen Sie auf die dritte Ebene, um zwei Schlafzimmer (King und Queen) Suiten und eine gemütliche Leseecke zu finden. Das Hauptschlafzimmer verfügt über eine luftige Kathedrale Decke und Tageslicht. Direkt neben dem Schlafzimmer befindet sich die dritte Ebene, auf der Sie den Sonnenaufgang über dem Atlantik genießen können.

Great Layout, Owner needs to keep up on routine maintenance
The Property and layout of the home was great. Communication re issues that arose during our stay tainted our experience somewhat. Several individually minor issues, when looked at in total, suggest the owner and host need to pay more attention to the details. An example - two sinks were nearly plugged and took 10 plus minutes to drain very slowly. The same for one of the showers. Not sure how the cleaners could not notice the condition of the drains when cleaning the bathrooms.

relaxing 4th of July week!
Beautiful location and accurately listed. The host was very communicative and responsive. There was a storm one evening and the next day a lot of debris was in the pool. I contacted her to see about cleaning it sooner and she had someone out there the same day. The layout of the house is perfect for a family with teens. We enjoyed using the kitchen to cook a few meals and had a good time walking to the nearby shops a few mornings. The beach is an easy 10 minute walk also and beautiful location. Overall a relaxing and enjoyable trip to OBX. Would recommend this property and give the host 5 stars.

Family Vacation
The house was very clean and well maintained. Beds were comfortable. The only disappointment was the pool area. The lounge chairs were a bit rickety and some cushions were missing and what cushions were there were worn and moldy in the creases. I honestly dont blame the home owners. I blame the maintenance team they have watching the house. I let homeowners know and they appreciated the info.

The house was great! Access to the beach was a little challenging with younger kids but it was still a nice walk. Only downside was no broom or vacuum to keep the house tidy through the week and the 3rd floor got very warm at night as we couldn’t change the temp any lower than 70.

Plenty of Room but...
Overall we had a fantastic time. The pool and hot tub perfectly fit our family's needs. The house is set back at the end of the street so there are two neighbors but it is very secluded still. The hosts are great to communicate with. Some areas needed work. 1. The house was not very clean. Very dusty, you could tell the filter in the house had not been changed in a very long time. Lots of very large cobwebs inside the house. We were required to clean the countertops and tables, and vacuum before we unpacked. We all developed a cough that stopped once at home. 2. Ants Ants Ants, everywhere. There should be some continued services for this. 3. If you have a hard time with stairs, do not choose this property. Very steep stairs. 4. The AC in the Master was not working very well. It was by far the hottest room in the house. 5. All of the shower curtains are moldy. 6. The fire alarm kept going off at weird times. 7. The "short walk" to the beach was not at all. It was a long walk, especially with kids. Positives 1. Pool and Hot Tub were GREAT! 2. Washer and Dryer worked great too! 3. Pool table was fun. 4. All appliances worked well. 5. Lots of room in the house, comfort for the families. 6. Property owners are very responsive.

Overrall it was a nice house and fairly spacious for our group. The only thing we weren't happy about was the roaches in the grill and the hot tub was not working right. We enjoyed using the pool table and the ping pong table alot at our stay. The pool was great for the kids as well when we did get in.

Our family really enjoyed everything about this home. The baby gates were an added bonus. The owner was very responsive to any of our questions. Plenty of room, nice layout. I would recommend staying here.

Not clean
Had to clean when we got there. There was a bag of goldfish a peach in the pullout couch in living room. The pool pump only worked for 5 minutes it needed to be taken apart cleaned and put back together. I messaged the owner 2 days before check in about the kids scooter and never got a reply. Wifi wasn't working 3 days later they fixed it. The garbage cans smelled so bad that was sitting by the door we almost threw up. Not a good experience at all.

Family Getaway
The owners were easy to communicate with, responsive and unobtrusive. The house is nice and set up nicely to accommodate a large group. It really needs a good thorough cleaning, though, including having the carpets shampooed and the beds/mattresses need to be updated. I would also have liked to have, at least, some of the basic accoutrements in the kitchen, such as salt and pepper. The hot tub is amazing and the pool was very nice and well maintained, but, much smaller than it appears in the pictures.

Perfect for our family of 8
We had a last minute cancellation with our original rental and this Corolla property was a godsend, saved our family vacation. I inquired about the property and the owner, Elysha, got back to me right away and was able to help me book it so quickly even though it was so last minute. She was completely understanding. The property was absolutely perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 kids. Everyone had their own bathrooms and bedrooms. The pool was perfect for an everyday swim for our little ones and the kitchen was fully stocked for our family cooked meals. The house is also perfectly located right in the middle of Corolla, just off the main road but hidden from all the traffic. The beach is quite a walk and you have to carry all your beach gear up the stairs over the dunes. We solved that by having someone drop us off by car. But the beaches are not crowded and the water was warm and clear when we visited. I highly recommend staying at the Corolla escape. From the inviting house, to the central location and great communication from the owner, it was all outstanding.

Loved the Location!
This was our first visit to OBX. We loved the location and the lake views! The walk to the beach was not far, and we liked that we only saw one neighbor when sitting on the deck! We brought our dog, and when I vacuumed the carpet on Tues and Thurs, I noticed the carpet was dirtier than just from our dog. Not sure anyone vacuumed as well as I did. Also, the tiled floors were dirty and our socks were black after playing pool one night. I could save my cleaning fee and do a better job.

This property is dated but has great amenities. We used the pool and hot tub daily and loved being close to the lake. We all loved walking the trail and feeding the turtles on the north side of the lake. The entrance to the trail is on the other side of the neighboring home. Elysha was an amazing host and very responsive. The master bedroom has great views but you can't really see the ocean. Sunrises are great and the beach is about a 7-10 minute walk. The bunks are really tight in the kids room downstairs so I wouldn't feel comfortable with more than two kids per bunk. It's a great location if you need to go to Duck or Northern Corolla. We would stay again.

A little worn but comfortable
The property was somewhat private - It was at the end of the lane and the lake bordered the back. The furnishings were a little worn. The kitchen table was permanently sticky. The “decor” needed decluttering. (For instance the king bedroom had a broken wicker basket, in the closet were wicker little chairs and a box of packaging for the tv.) The extra blanket was dirty. The hot tub cover was in bad shape. Bring your own beach chairs if you have good quality ones. Despite some shabbiness my family enjoyed the location, the roominess, and casual comfy atmosphere.

First and last time to OBX.
The house was very dirty from the unorganized entrance to one bedroom had dirty used sheets and the bathroom had dirty towels and dirty rugs. I emailed manager right away and she apologized and ask if she could send someone to clean I had already washed sheets and towels and cleaned. A cleaning lady came 4 days into our stay and asked if we needed her to clean, a little late at that point. I don’t ever plan to rent another house for vacation, I will stick to hotels or condos.

Nice stay, few small issues
The property is in a nice location and we had a good stay. We especially enjoyed the walking path around the pond, where you can see and feed turtles. There were a few small issues. When we arrived one of the beds didn't have linens, there were none the right size in the house and it took a couple days to get them. The listing mentioned there were beach and bath towels but we only found bath towels, and there weren't enough of those.

Corolla was great
My family had a good time in Corolla. The house was nice. It does need some upgrades and maintenance but overall fine. The house is carpeted throughout the second and third floors and can get a bit musty and damp given the humidity and activities (pool/beach). Mattresses were not great and bunk beds on first floor were not very functional. Some lights/lamps were not working and extra light bulbs were not supplied. Two of the smoke detectors started beeping for low battery overnight and woke kids both nights. Thermostat is capped at 70 (which I don’t blame property owners) but can get warm at night with doors closed. Overall nice place but could use some tweaks.
