Unfortunately, we were robbed at this property. We had to carry all of our belongings (for a family of 5) up to the 3rd floor on a rainy day. The kids got tired and set their things down, and when we ran back down the stairs for them, they were gone. It's pretty sad that someone would rob a child! The next day, there were people grabbing at the door and pushing to get inside as soon as I opened it. There weren't any staff around to help. Our experience at this motel really dampened our moods and took away our mad love for California.

Got to hear everyone around us take their showers. Sounded like a jet engine and the traffic noise was excessive. It did however meet the price point and was expected. Nice location close to the beach.

Employees very helpful. Our A/C didn’t work properly we reported it to front desk had a new A/C installed before we returned to hotel for the evening. Front desk to maintenance great staff.

I put the do nit disturb on my door. Someone still came into my room, made the beds and went threw my backpack. My wife packs the bags a certain way and it wad all rearranged.

Only rooms in the new ANNEX building have air conditioning. I did not know this, and I booked a standard room, but the rooms in the Annex only cost $10. When I discovered there was no air conditioning in the room, I went to the desk and asked to pay for the upgrade. There were still rooms in the annex, and the lady upgrade me for free. That is what I call good customer service!

Clean rooms and courteous check-in. I can tell they work hard to maintain the exterior and rooms. This is a superior choice to other locations of the same value and class. Pros: Clean, Courteous, Best Value, Good beds/bedding, No Mildew, No bad smells, Close by local sites. Cons: Old color scheme, fixtures and appliances could use a modern overhaul; Busy Road location and Cali mental illness/drug crime political malfeasance means excessive human street dysfunction (not a kid zone); Early AM road traffic noise due to main drag (can’t do anything about that); Warm and humid in summer without a/c and windows that open without screens (possibly by design?).
