When we walked in the door, the view was just breathtaking. Then, when we went downstairs to one of the Master bedrooms It was even more spectacular! The kitchen was stocked well, but if you’re cooking, be sure to bring your own spices, including salt and pepper. We had fun playing pool upstairs in the loft, but we kept hearing a knocking sound in the mornings up there, and finally realized it was a woodpecker on the outside beam going to town up there lol!
We didn’t use the pool because There was a big storm before we came and it did a number on the pool, the pool guy came on our last day and said the chemicals were at zero so he had to fix it. We were however able to use the spa and enjoyed that very much.
Other reviewers had warned about the difficult walk to the dock so we knew it would be tough. It was doable for me, as I am an active 59 yr old but had to stop for a moment to catch my breath coming back up. My hubby had a harder time though. The younger adults made it just fine.
Loved the fire pit and the teens made s’mores every night.
The only thing that really bothered me was the condition of the walls in the downstairs master. It’s in need of a paint job down there. It was a nice family getaway with lots to do and we were satisfied with our stay for the price.
