To be avoided.
Nice location but not suitable for an extended stay. No wardrobe or hanging space for clothes. Contrary to description the so-called kitchenette had no stovetop or cooking utensils, and there was no bench space for food preparation. Crockery set was incomplete. One of the 2 dining chairs was broken, reading lamp broken, globe missing from other reading lamp. Shower screen missing, causing bathroom floor to get wet and slippery. No wi-fi. No facial tissues or face washers provided. French doors did not close properly, letting cold air in. No electric blanket on bed (despite sign next to front door reminding guests to turn off the electric blanket before leaving!) This apartment did not meet the standards one would normally expect for a property of this price.

Misleading .. only photos of good arts of the room
I have never written a review before but this was so disappointing that I had to .... Unfortunately the photos of the lounge area did not show that the lounge faced the open kitchen sink ( about 3 to 4 feet in front of you ) with exposed plumbing, waste bin and fridge .. ironing board laid against the wall beside the dining table with a wall mounted TV beside all this ... the rest of the space was good however this facing the utilities etc just ruined the space for us. Oh and the wardrobe was a coat/ hat stand with 4 hangers ! very disappointed

The Mahala was an excellent choice! It was romantic and cosy and met all our expectations. The spa and the fireplace where really lovely and I will be returning again next time I am in town. Highly recommended!

Perfect Romantic Getaway
We arrived in the dark on a cold winters night, to an inviting house, with the lights on & heater roaring. Inside was a perfect room for couples, clean & fresh. To add to the welcome feeling, in there was a bag of quality goodies, including a large continer of Milk, not just those little sample ones. It was a perfect location, with an easy walk to town. Would recommend to any couple looking for a getaway to picturesque Daylesford.
