Our host was fine, he answered promptly when I contacted him. The price was low at the time (looks like now it’s jumped up), but we felt that was a fair price because of the immense damage done to the patio/pool area by hurricane Ivan making it totally unusable. The hotel was a former resort, now individual rooms have been sold instead and are rented out as “condos” but the property is a shadow of its former self. Our room was clean, and the bed very comfortable, but was smaller than it looked in the photos. The one bad thing was there was NO storage in the room. Not a chest of drawers in site. If you are there for an extended stay you live out of your suitcase, or have your clothes all over the sofa because there literally isn’t one usable drawer. The sofa is a sofa bed but pulling it open for more people would make the room almost unusable considering there is already a king size bed in the room. The kitchenette is small but usable, as is the very small bathroom. For my husband and myself it was ok, we were in town for personal business and not looking to lay out by the pool (which was filled with thick, green, water, swampy looking). The damage to the grounds is NOT the fault of the condo owner, but whomever is managing the property should drain the pools, I can’t imagine the bacteria and filth in that water.
All in all, the place was ok. Not luxury or spacious but adequate for our needs at the time. Put some lighting by the bed and fix the storage issue and it would help
