We had booked the hotel from 14th to 16tth April through hotels.com according to which we were to pay the cost of booking at the hotel itself. The credit card amount was blocked, however. Shortly after a few days I got a call from Treebo that I needed to pay 50 per cent of the amount to secure the reservation for 3 rooms; accordingly, I did. Thereafter I made several requests to the property to ensure the rooms were given had good views. On the appointed date we reached, only to be told the rooms were unavailable and only one was available, even though I had booked three, and no amount of arguments or cajoling helped. We had driven for several hours and were quite exhausted and, naturally, on being told this we were in a soup. The guy at the reception cried off responsibility saying I should speak to Treebo (as if the hotel and Treebo were separate entities) and when I called their number, I was placed on an endless loop. I wanted to call the Treebo Area Manager but he did not take my call. This was one of the most difficult experiences of my life and our holiday got ruined since alternative accommodation was impossible to get, it being a long weekend.
The hotel looks quite ordinary from the outside, unlike what you see on the website. Treebo is totally unreliable. They were rude and unapologetic about the mess up. Avoid at all costs.
