We had a fantastic stay for the price we paid, reception area in particular is really nice. Would happily stay again!

Convenient near the station

Friendly though unusual reception, all pleasant and a good brief stay.

Welcome friendly relaxing

At first was unable to find my booking,so the lady gave us some hot drink sat us down wile she looked thro her computer, she made us feel very welcome and then after a short time booked us in, the room was clean very up to date had a nice smell,we even checkout. Late, we felt very relaxed the staff were on hand 24hrs and pleasant with it, would stay there again

Clean and welcoming

The staff were friendly. I enjoyed the wet room. However the water does not drain off completely. Clean room.

Above average budget getaway

Staff need some work, kept people waiting when there was no need to. They had enough staff yet all seemed to wander around. Internet is free in the reception area but not in the rooms where they have wired access. Free for 30 min and paid thereafter. This was not mentioned anywhere, I had to do some work so this affected me. It didn't work in one room and took time for them to eventually move me. Has a sauna and some gym equipment in the hotel. Also is close to the rail station, town centre and football stadium so location is fantastic.

Hmmmm

When you BOOK and PAY for a hotel room for 2 nights you expect it to be available to you for those 2 nights come what may!? Apparently not! We couldn't make the first night (for personal reasons). We called them the following day to let them know that we were on my way, and the women (sorry, I mean receptionist) crowed at me, as though speaking to an eleven year old child, and in a thick brummie accent shouting,'you shoulda been here yesterday, YESTERDAY.... let me speak to my manager... my manager says it will cost ya £59 to the night'. We happily declined for three reasons. 1. It sounded like we being solicited. 2. We'd paid already. 3. No desecration was shown. £59's for a hotel room that I'd paid for in advance. Thank God we had not booked for a longer as originally planned. We ended up booking another hotel in Nottingham and we had a fantastic time there. Xx
