The welcome was superb. I felt really valued as a visitor. The room was very clean and functional, and whilst the beds were very soft, and I prefer a harder bed, I had a good nights sleep. The only slight criticism was that I did not know how to turn off the heated towel rail in the bathroom. Whilst we did not eat dinner at the hotel, we did sample their "sausage rolls" and they were so nice we had to have a second. Finally, I have been going to Gatton Manor for a lot of years and can see that they are making a lot of changes and improvements. I just hope that they keep the character of the building and do not go too modern. Looking forward to next year's visit.
