It’s a very cool historic property that has maintained the feel of yesteryear. Staff is very nice and it’s easy to park and get around. The pool is nice as is the hot tub. The issues we had were with the room. There was something on the floor near the bed that smelled horrid and never went away. The shower door is designed so there is a gap and water leaks out whenever you shower. The bed is horribly uncomfortable and the heat is excessively loud when it turns on or off. Not sure if it is all rooms, but the windows are very small and you don’t realize it until you pull back the massive shades and see that they are covering a tiny window and mostly wall.

Another wonderful stay, as always! I took 1 star off of “property condition” only because bathroom vanity needs a touch up of paint, but other than that, everything was excellent. I will continue to stay here whenever I’m in town! Great customer service!

Just an average stay - ordered the Sweet Heart Package add on - didn’t receive the chocolate covered strawberries because they were out of the chocolate. Had breakfast at Caroline’s the next morning and no brunch as advertised. Waited some time for coffees, actually our food came before our coffee. Just an average trip - nothing special to see here

The Hotel and staff were excellent. Expedia portion of my stay was crap. The hotel said that exedia would send me a copy of my bill outlining the cost. To date i have not received a bill for my stay even with two prior reminders. Please send me my invoice for my stay. Steve

We loved everything about this place. Aside from the history, it's eclectic vibe gives you a nostalgic feeling as if you've stepped back in time. There are so few places like this in the area. We had a 2 night escape staying in one of the suites, and enjoyed a full spa experience including couples massage, facial and pedicure. Loved them all but especially loved and highly recommend the facial! There are plenty of places to visit within walking distance. Or, if you're like us, just wanting to escape from everything for a couple days, you can stay in and have everything at your finger tips. A comfy room, (with the best robes!!!), Potosa Spa, Carolines restaurant, Steamboat Lounge and a very nice pool and fitness area are all right there for you to enjoy. Oh, and the staff are amazing! Cannot wait to return and do it all over again.

loved the large lobby area and the bar beside it--we had over 20 people in our group and could get together there-it was a nice historic building--carolines staff served our wedding group and was fantastic--front desk people were great-- just had problems with our keys not working and our room was cold---down to 55 in a.m. the a.c. kept kicking in around 5:00 a.m. but we lived through it!

Hotel Julien was perfect!

What a beautiful hotel! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and afforded us a wonderful view of the cathedral and the bluff. The lobby and Riverboat Lounge were beautifully decorated, keeping the historic nature of the hotel in mind. We walked everywhere - museums, churches, shopping, restaurants - the hotel was so conveniently located. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
