My boyfriend and I stayed from a Monday to Friday in July for his birthday. I expected it to be quiet, but it was beyond my expectations! It was just a gorgeous private lake, and the view of the stars at night were phenomenal.
An internet issue popped up during our stay, but it was a non-issue for us, as we both had phone service (t-mobile) in the area, which was a happy surprise . The owner was the one who actually brought it to our attention, and was super responsive to our communications, which was appreciated.
Everything in the cabin and separate bathroom/shower were as expected. It was very clean in the cabin, and plenty of supplies were available to us for cooking/cleaning.
An aluminum rowboat was available for our use, which was nice! And the swimming right off the dock was great, not weedy/mucky at all.
The only downside was the bugs. Please prepare ahead for this and bring bug spray, and a bug fogger, especially for after it rains. Luckily my bf thought it was fun to make a sport of it, and he brought his salt gun to shoot flies.
If you are looking for a great deal, and somewhere quiet and private, it fits the bill. However, please remember you get what you pay for, and it's quite rustic. I still think was a steal, for the money we spent.
