Great weekend stay

Conveniently located, although I missed the entrance the first time through. My room was large and clean. "Continental breakfast" can mean many things; in this case it included a wide variety of bagels, muffins and pastries as well as a waffle maker, fruit, yogurt, cereal and hard boiled eggs. Mediocre coffee. Staff was efficient and helpful, common areas welcoming.

It’s a great area. Property is quiet and natural. Unfortunately we could hear the conversations in next room thru the closed adjoining door. It negatively impacted an otherwise great stay.

We chose this hotel because it was near the Brandywine River Museum and Longwood Gardens, which we were visiting for a little getaway. It was a great choice: set back from the highway, quiet, priced right, comfortable, clean.

Doors Open to the Past

The walls were thin in 221 as it was an adjoining room. Really disliked hearing entire conversations from our neighbor. The mattress needs to be replaced it sags in the middle. The breakfast was great! We didn’t like every time we traveled the halls seeing into the rooms being cleaned; at least 3-5 with doors wide open. Signing out at the front desk was strange but it appeared they are short staffed.

Charming area & building. It was quiet, peaceful & easy to get a good night's sleep. Staff (especially the gentleman on for the evening/night shift were pleasant & helpful. The bed was comfortable & the handicapped shower with a hand held shower hose excellent in my husband's opinion. We would definitely stay here again.
