So, here's the deal. This cabin is terrific. The hosts, Amy and Tina are phenomenal. The house is clean, beautifully appointed and spacious. The hot tub was fantastic and the scenic grounds are breathtaking. There were a few minor inconveniences, one of which being the lack of a garbage disposal which his desperately needed (especially if you plan on cooking - making soups and chili and what have you). Water pressure can be an issue too. But, the real downside is the location. Not location on a map. Not location in terms of the very cute little town it's in. (It's darling) Location in terms of ALTITUDE. Oh my ever-loving God, the altitude! This is twice the altitude of Denver, y'all. We're talking almost 11,000 feet up and boy, were we not at all prepared. We're sea level dwelling Southern Californians and we pretty much couldn't move or breathe for the first 36 hours. I had NO idea it would affect us so much. That's on me. The little cans of oxygen they sell at every store and gas station up there really help (buy them!) and I will say that our kids (who live at 5,000 feet in CO and WY) were not affected by the altitude at all. Just us Sea-levelers. It really kicked our butt. Again, that's not on the hosts - they did everything they could to make our stay amazing. So, if you need a gorgeous setting, spacious and clean accommodations with all of the amenities and wonderful hosts...and if you AREN'T used to living at sea level...this is the place for you! Would definitely stay again, knowing what I know now. I'm telling you, so you'll know. Thanks Amy and Tina! Truly a wonderful home!
