This was our second time staying at Janie and Geoffrey's stunning property (April 2023). Please read my detailed review from last year (Feb. 2022, published on March 4, 2022). This time Janie accommodated our extended family of five adults and two young grandchildren. Just like a year ago everything was wonderful. We had both cottages, Birds 'N Bees and Sapodilla, as well as a spacious bedroom suite. Our favourite spot was the pool and gazebo area (for our sole use). It is surrounded by beautiful plants, flowers, and palm trees with stunning views in the distance of Falmouth Harbour. This area also has excellent Wifi. The cottages are charmingly furnished with comfortable beds, lovely linens, mosquito netting over every bed, and well equipped kitchens. This time we rented a large Toyota van which held all seven of us. A rental vehicle is necessary as the grocery shops and restaurants in English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour are a short drive away (not walkable distance). The road up to Janie's property is rough but you do get used to it. With such a large group and two children Janie graciously allowed us the use of her large washing machine on a couple of occasions. We drove to Pigeon Point Beach (twice), Half Moon Bay, Galleon Beach, Dutchman's Bay, and Runaway Bay. The three younger adults in our group hiked to Rendezvous Bay twice from Janie's property - a 30 minute hike and well worth it. We took in Stingray City and Laviscount Island (giant tortoises) which the children loved. We also highly recommend the Creole Lobster Lunch Catamaran Cruise which starts from Jolly Harbour. There are many great restaurants in the area. A great take out pizza place is Famous Mauro's Pizza which is just a short drive away (wood-fired brick oven pizza). Overall another amazing holiday in Antigua which was made very special by our hosts, Janie and Geoffrey, and their magical property.
